Bery! I visited and explored Turkey following your videos and I really enjoyed my visit. Thank you so much. My family and I flew with the same company Urgup some 3 weeks ago and what a coincidence our pilot was same as your’s; Mehmet Uzumcu. What a funny and great guy he is. Now I am imagining if you could be with us. Haha. Soon I will visit again and hopefully we might encounter with each other somewhere 😊

Last time I was here was in 1972, when I was an English Teacher at METU for 2 years in Ankara and a group of us teachers went. We slept in Caves in Urgup and got drunk on the wine they produce there. It's a fantastic place, unfortunately there were no Balloons in those days. Will visit again soon !

Hi Bery, I was looking for hot air balloon rides in May but they are quite expensive around 250-300 euros per person. We're 4 people travelling so its not really affordable. Is it because the date is quite far that the prices are so high or are the prices generally that high in May? Any possibilities of prices reducing over time?

The prices have certainly changed since then. I'm getting quoted 220 euros per person with most companies, including Urgup. Hi, we're travelling to Istanbul (sabiha gokcen airport) around September time and we were wondering if we could take a night bus to Goreme/Cappadocia inside the airport? Or would we need to go to a specific bus station in the Asian side? Also, for buying bus tickets do you recommend buying them straight at the front desk or buying them online from London before we get to Turkey (we're scared in case we miss a bus because of spaces or something since we don't know how things work over there) If you could answer this I would really appreciate it :))🙏

Hi, i didn’t understand the question but if you are asking personal vip balloon ride for 1-2 ppl, that’s possible but it will cost a lot. In some of the links I shared on the description box of this video they shared the prices for VIP balloon rides, you can also click on them and compare the prices but usually are between 900-100€ 😄

I guess they were cancelled for a while and weren't supposed to come back 'til October, but I got lucky and they were operating during my visit in September. A hot air balloon ride should certainly be on everyone's bucketlist. But $100 to $150 is really steep in my opinion. I'd expect these kinds of prices in countries like USA, Canada and Australia, but in Turkey, this balloon ride shouldn't cost more than $50, especially since they cram too many people into one basket. We didn't even get a champagne celebration.

They are limited by the number of balloons allowed in the air at any time. The demand is more than supply hence the steep price. Simple supply and demand issues.
