We went to Cappadocia in 1999 during a 2 week trip to Turkey and again during our 3 month honeymoon in 2000 because we loved it so much. Stayed in Urgup, one of the quieter towns. Back then you’d only see a couple of hot air balloons. It was expensive back then but one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had. Thanks for your beautiful video and brining back cherished memories ❤

Parks and spruce trees offer great walks in the city. We even did a night at the opera house. So thanks. Its so easy to be here and very friendly. No hassle. So many bars and coffee houses. Cakes pattiseries are incredible. So guess its Turkey next? Thank you guys. Enjoy your travels keep posting, love your videos. ❤..

Question, since you are using local sim cards, how do you get around from your state side bank or other accounts if they are sending a text to the phone number on file for verification? Just to add, I plan on doing the same as you all, the Slow Travel, retiring between March and August 2026. I have already spoke to my two boys, friends and co-workers. Now I get to tell my mom over Thanksgiving. Looking forward to more videos & overall information from the two of you. Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Guys, We are thinking about Turkey for Oct of 2025. What are your thoughts about American tourists going there while the Israel situation is still going on? There have been some tourist attacks and hassles there recently. I suppose the safer thing to do is to wait 6 months and see if the conflict will be over and then make any definite plans.
