Thank you so much, I have never heard of Bonin Islands, this is something I must consider visiting. A bit surprising the ferry didn't have a large public bath, otherwise it is like a sea cruise and an island visit in one! Fabulous sunrise is a bonus
@capsulejapan9 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. This ferry is not that big and specializes in transporting passengers. There are no competing ferries, so it is inferior to other ferries on other routes in terms of service and price. However, Ogasawara can only be visited by this ferry. I would take this ferry again.😸

Thank you for your comment. You are right to think that way about sea turtles. However, given the culture and history of the Ogasawara Islands, as well as the conservation of the natural environment, the Ogasawara Islands are allowed to take 100 turtles per year.😸

Oh my giddy aunty this one is really pricey for what accommodation you're getting and it's no as if it's not a busy ship, lots of passengers. The ship interior itself quite basic no wow features compared to your other ships. Aye I get it's a more specialist island hurl with much needed supplies coming by this ship the amount of containers but pricey voyage nonetheless. What a difference between docking procedures here, the simplicity of it compared to the bigger cities. And aye you nailed it I was like wow 2 failed attempts at throwing the line maybe he's a learner n we all got to learn something new. Have to admit I did have a wee chuckle at the 2nd line rope taker on the mooring the first lot in blues what about 5 of them then this one fella in white overalls getting handed the line and taking the rope to the bollard himself Hercules 😂 Look at your other vids 4 dudes hauling in the rope n even get hooked on to lorries to drive it to bollard where the guys just fold it over but white overall dudeybabes here does it on his own lol. Oh aye n police even helping with gangway. I think the only other wow vid that outdoes this landing is the island ferry that lands passengers in a cage suspended by a crane cos no suitable dock for ships. Before I forget one thing I did want to ask you on quite a few of your films why are the gorgeous lit up bridges only lit for a wee while? I thought they'd be lit from dusk til dawn. I love your vids it's like we're all right there with you but a bit problematic thousands of us trying to fit into one of those wee capsule beds 😂 Bonin certainly is a beautiful place and thanks for taking us ❤.
@capsulejapan8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. It seems that that ropesman was still a newbie. I guess he will experience failure and improve his skills. Also, the fare for this ferry is indeed expensive. Generally, ferries in Japan earn their revenue by transporting passenger cars. However, this ferry is for foot passengers only. There is little demand for transporting passenger cars. It is inevitable that the fares for walkers are relatively high. But it is definitely worth it for those islands. I wish the bridge lights were longer. Let's continue to enjoy our trip together!😸

I've been waiting for this video for a long time.Thanks.😊 The Ogasawara Islands, aka the Bonin Islands, are called “the Galapagos of the Orient”. They’re 1,000 kilometers from Tokyo, so it takes about two hours to get there by plane, but the construction of an airport has stalled due to nature conservation. The islands are a natural heritage site. Currently, the only way to go there is by ferry. These islands belong to Oceania, not Asia. Far from the Eurasian continent, you can swim all year round. Even in winter, the climate is warmer than Okinawa or Taiwan, with an early summer climate. Looking forward to the sequel (to southern islands).

What a great trip, again another Japanese outer island, this time to Bonin Island. Going to Outer Island meaning you're found the waiting room for islanders. Big curious, is this ship has sister ship on same route? Yeah, the accommodation onboard is expensive, but what can you expect for the one and only ship serve this island. The island is definitely beautiful. Whales and Japanese remind me about tradition which still apply in Japan.

There is a large room with tatami mats, chairs and a TV. You can lie down.😸
If I remember correctly, the flight route from eastern Australia, such as Brisbane and Cairns, to Tokyo passes near the Ogasawara (the Bonin) Islands, I think. I’ve seen Iwo Jima Island from a plane from Guam to Tokyo. Iwo Jima Island is located 300km south of the Ogasawara Islands and now there is only an air base of Japan Self-Defense Forces there.
I would like to see the Ogasawara Islands from the sky. Iwo Jima is currently off limits to landings, so I would be very lucky to see it. In terms of direction, I might have a chance if I go to Guam or Saipan. Thank you very much.😸

Normally, ferries generate revenue by transporting passenger cars and trucks, but this vessel can only carry foot passengers and cargo. As a result, fares are inevitably more expensive.
