I'm black female, and here's my take: Falcon literally fought side by side with the Avengers through six films with ZERO problems, now suddenly he's dealing with racial discrimination and oppression??😂 Gtfo. This is why I didn't even make it through the first episode of Captian America & The Winter Soldier. After that "Bank loan" scene (Falcon and the Avengers were global heros who literally had JUST finished saving the universe, but suddenly the "evil white bank loan officer" is denying his sister a loan beCause sHE's blAcK? 😒🙄) I turned that shit off and canceled my D+ sub that SAME DAY, and I haven't been back since. Also, Disney screwed Anthony Mack by making him Captian America. Falcon was bad ass enough as FALCON. It made much more sense for Rogers to give the Shield to BUCKEY ...Buckey was his best friend for much longer than Sam. He was from the same era as Rogers, had more experience than Sam, and was a Super Soldier just like Rogers. Ignoring that OBVIOUS choice and handing the shield to Falcon made Falcon go from being his OWN strong, unique character who fought for and earned his OWN reputation, to some DEI participation award who only has what he has because a white man handed it to him. Disney always thinks they are "helping" Black actors by doing all these stupid race-swaps but all they are doing is making fans hate us for plagerizing and destroying their favorite characters, and making us look like jealous, untalented, unoriginal crybabies who can't create our own successful stories and characters so we have to steal it from white ppl. And those movies ALWAYS bomb-- along with the career of the black, race-swapped actor because everytime fans see them in any subsequent project, the first thing they think is, "oh that's the guy/girl who ruined such-and-such beloved, legacy character 😠!" I heard that the original concept was basically "Captain BLM" where one of the villains were the Americops (originally a single Punisher-like vigilante who has since been reimagined as a private military contractor that specializes in law enforcement... and OF COURSE is ultra racist). It’s pretty much irrelevant now, but early on in the MCU it was actually a somewhat important plot point that Cap’s “perfect” super soldier serum which comes with no side effects was basically lost, and a lot of villains got their powers from an attempt to create another super soldier serum like Abomination and the guy from Iron Man 3. As things stand now, they literally can’t create another “perfect” super soldier.

The CGI looks terrible. I'm an Electrical Engineer by profession working in the aerospace industry. I work with a lot of Mechanical Engineers. They really should employ some engineers to make the CGI believable. Watching large mechanical mechanisms fold out of nothing and fold into nothing is low quality crap. There's no momentum or material strength that would simulate it's mass. Like when Falcon's wings pull out. Don't they have mass? If they do his center of gravity should shift. His body does not react like there's anything there. It's really fake stuff. Look at what Guillermo did with Pacific Rim. Now that worked much better. Except for the helicopters lifting building size machines, that part was silly. But the Mech's were really really great and you could see the size in the material and flex that simulated properly the stresses on metallic structures of that size.

I get what you mean and I agree with you but I don't think most of the regular people who watched Marvel's movies care about such things. The original Transformers toys and sometimes even their toon forms retained large panels from their alternate disguise modes as outer shells or shields. In the comics the shield is actually made of Vibranium/Adamantium alloy. The Vibranium lets it absorb kinetic impacts which is why you can survive a Hulk punch. However, the degree to which it absorbs those impacts varies wildly, and it's not at all uncommon for the person on the other side of the shield to still get launched at a hundred miles an hour at whatever was behind them. Cap can survive those sorts of impacts thanks to the super soldier serum, which give him the reflexes needed to twist mid-air and again let the shield's kinetic absorbtion the impact of his landing. Most can't do that.

Based on some recent articles, the screening is done by DISNEY employees whom are mostly DEI/LGBTQ+ categories and all into the WOKE ideology. So, if the movie screening is considered abhorrent BY THEM, then it's probably because it's NOT WOKE, so they hate it. To fix the screening issues and save money on perpetual reiterations and modifications/reshoots, DISNEY should get everyday citizens, influencers and content creators to review the screening so it is actually much more balanced in its viewership.

I just noticed that Eternal shot too. Yeesh. Instead of filming a movie all the way through, then testing it with audiences, they should just hire people to read the scripts first. Make sure the writing is on point before spending $400 million and three to four rounds of reshoots. Here's another thought, start firing off all the Marvel Studios middlemen who are jamming up the works so things can get done smoothly. Maybe hire people who actually know a damn thing about Marvel.

Neither should take the name Captain America. That should be for Steve only. The story should have been that they both struggle with the legacy until they accept that they can't be Cap, but they can carry forth his ideals and remain their own heroes, still incorporating the American colors into their own suits. I don't mind Falcon having the shield as a symbol, but no one should be Cap.

I like Anthony Mackie as an actor and thought he was a good Falcon, and I know his character did assume the Captain America mantle in canon. But that is not what people want to see, and that is a big problem. Few people will pay top dollar to see the B Team play, and the Marvel bench is thinning rapidly.
