The greatest tune by the greatest singer songwriter ever done to perfection by the latter day Magic Band. The Captain created post rock. I hope he's feeling well and knows about his lasting legacy and the well wishes of all his fans.

The most dynamic,TIGHTEST, band I ever saw. Nyc 1980 Irving Plaza. Absolutely breathtaking. Jeff Tepper, Robt Wms E.D.Feldman(?)et al. My God. Lennon died the night before. The show started with: "To John....from Don." Bliss.

R.IP. Don, There will never be another musician like you. You changed mine and many other people's lives with your honest, thought provoking music and your surrealistic personality and art. You were TRULY one of the originals, and your beautiful spirit and art will live on in our hearts forever. "The dust blows forward and the dust blows back....."

Much respect for the men in his band. They tolerated difficult and sometimes abusive conditions to be the conduits for Beefheart’s conjurings. He could not have done it without them. They must have known they were part of something singular, the kind of chance most people never get, the chance to contribute to something that matters and that will be remembered.

I saw him in Paris too in 1975 (?) and he was absolutely amazing. The proof? He was headlining a festival and EVERY member of EVERY band that had played before were crowding up at the back of the stage to watch. Some respect there, I guess.

0:43 "Man you're lazy"I love that he interrupts his own lyrics to shit on the person running the sound, hah Is anybody else noticing that he is trying to get the person running the sound to turn up the vocal microphone through out the show?
@richarddietl376010 жыл бұрын
Yes i agree! But i still love the sound on this video. This song was beefheart in 30 years. Needs to be seen and heard. Nothing like this music on Venus.
