@@earlkermit There was more to that child support issue than what was told to the public. That came up during a campaign and of course was meant by an opponent to discredit him. There’s always mud slinging in every campaign, this was no different. Often all it takes is one accusation even if it’s not true, or if there’s another side to the story, it’s already done it’s damage. By the time the truth comes out the campaign is over. Thankfully it didn’t stop Rep. Higgins. We know him as a man of conviction and integrity. Clay Higgins is a Louisiana man; he was our local Crime stoppers representative; He was a reserve police officer. More men turned themselves in when Higgins spoke than what I’ve seen from any other spokesperson. He’d look into the camera after describing a crime in the area and say “Son, it’s just a matter of time. Turn yourself in to the authorities “ and often they would within days. One turned himself in the very next morning. Often they weren’t even on anyone’s radar or any suspect list. He just has a way; tough on crime but fair-minded.

@@earlkermit No kid says that they want to be divorced some day, but divorce still happens. There’s always two sides to every divorce. I’ve seen people that got along with their spouse and suddenly get served divorce papers, and were shocked. I’ve never been divorced but I can empathize with those that have. In a perfect world there would be no divorce, no war, and no abuse, but this is not a perfect world. If your issue is not divorce or an unhappy marriage then it’s something else. I’ve known women that resented their spouse because he was “boring”. It was the wife that caused most of the trouble in the marriage. Sometimes he’s working hard but it’s NEVER enough for her. There are also some men, and women, in government that STAY married for political reasons only. So don’t base whether a person is fit for office SOLELY on whether they’ve been divorced or not. Marriage is much too personal an issue for us to judge, It doesn’t mean it affects their ability to do their job well. Doesn’t mean I condone divorce; I’d much prefer to see couples stay together, in most cases. But in a fallen world it happens to even good people who really tried.

New York is slowly dying because of the political correctness ruling in that what once was a big city representing the stronghold of Capitalism.. How Manhattan once was New Amsterdam who gave the place it's welfare due the Colonial age, which according to the 'black activists' we can't be proud of because of the fact that slavery played a part in that (while the white were the first to get rid of slavery, and how the Arabic Emirates still use slaves in the richdom of the oil fields). And step by step more of our proud is being taken away because of that PC crap. We can't fight it or we are 'Racists'. Haggins just tell it the way it is, not fearing that word as it's a simple truth. And it's not about race at all actually, it are the thugs who are ruining it for the rest of their fellow men.. As I said Haggins tell it just the way it is, it costed his career of a sheriff due resignation but as he once stated in the video that went viral in the Crimestoppers: "We rather die on our feet, than live on our knees!". If I lived in the USA, my vote will certainly go out to the simple truth and the man who is representing it.. Trump isn't PC either, but I can't take someone responsible for gamble addiction and there getting his wealth from seriously at all. That man didn't do shit for his country, and I don't believe he ever will. Haggins did by serving the law of the USA where his ancestors fought for.. Haggins would die for his country unlike the politicians running in the current congress! And that is something to respect..

Love this guy, I'm not in Louisiana, not in his Parish or District, but would have gladly voted for him twice if I could! He has such a proud, yet extremely humble nature, And words that truly seem to come directly from his heart! I’m not American, nor Acadian but live in Canadian province from where Acadian roots seeded Clay’s proud state. I’ve followed Clay/his voice these Final Jeopardy - Americana years. My response having listened this very first time to Clay’s congress run announcement done 7 years ago? ‘ Overwhelmed ‘ - exactly how Clay responded to that lady’s question at end of session. I’ve followed American politics a very long time, have heard many speak great words but this man’s words speak greatly to me. Hang in there Clay.
