i just got this one today and i was confused why it was different and harder [the skirmish was harder] but all but that the game was good i think i still like the first one more but i will see about that

The first one is better campaign wise. But overall this destroys the first. Took me 6 months playing this game to be decent. Lots of learning curves and methods. So much learning

Extraction was a separate game, support was dropped after 1 year, no updates since, it was only PvE

If you're actually interested in what exactly happened with Extraction it's kind of interesting. A few years back R6 ran it's first, and only, PvE event called Outbreak. Not only was it a season long activity that introduced two operators (and for the first time two operators on the same side, both attacking) but it was also an activity that was pretty damn popular for how it twisted the games mechanics. Unfortunately it was also something so completely detached from anything Tom Clancy related that they had to distance it from proper R6. So they created a timeline split. Extraction is the timeline where Outbreak wasn't ever put to bed (this is the simplest explanation). A few years after the Outbreak event Extraction comes out...and it's not great. While it is built upon the core of R6, it's also, for some reason, a grind heavy RPG focused on completing the same objectives in the same locations over and over again with the sole goal of increasing the level of your chosen operator to face stronger challenges. It was, quite literally, a grind for grinds sake. People quickly realized that there wasn't a reason to keep playing the game, especially with Ubi once again creating an inflated cash shop without ever putting cosmetics as earnable stuff, and that there was functionally zero variety in the gameplay. They would eventually launch two DLC operators before cutting support for the game entirely due to low player pop and general bad response to the game.
