To be fair captain is super easy in frostpunk 2.... frostpunk 1's hardest difficult was brutaaallll you had to micromanage every citizen

I'm currently rawdogging the captains difficulty and oh man it is not easy to get used to all of the new mechanics with the highest difficulty. I could go for a casual playthrough first but fuck it, I'm too determined, there is no way back. Your videos are a life saver, thanks!

@@DataEngineerPlays Well the normal playthrough was kinda easy, started yesterday with the captain difficulty playthrough, just in chapter 1 everyone hates me xD Its a fun challange :) great tipp to take heatstamps early from the factions and communities, really helps.

@@someduudee Yeah just take it slow, try to stabalise, most people over-develop, the more infrastructure you build the more you get hit with heat drops remember, minimalism is good!

Did you really embrace the frost? Just stating that you will do that before the whiteout is not enough. Of course you would, the choice is done before the whiteout. I played on Officer difficulty and I did not get this one.... and I thought it was because I had not made a settlement (other than the Dreadnaught) before then. I may be wrong though.

Ohhh crap I misread the achievement it says complete the OBJECTIVES not just embrace the frost. I've awarded myself the achievement too early. Rest assured at 42:17 of Episode 3 (next episode) I hit the 4th objective of "embrace the frost" with 30 weeks left till the whiteout! It's a pretty easy one

I don't get why you don't use the other side of the valley, those are 2 free housing districts with shelter from the wind. and you have the generator proximity bonus as well.....

I could, but bordering 2 districts is the same as the bonus the valley gives so it makes no difference. I could build 2 new districts on the other side... or I can add new districts that border 2 districts where I have my current housing. Is my maths wrong? Think of valleys (or any other zone bonuses) as a third district
