I always thought broderick was in the vein of Jim Starlin.

Broderick's art mostly looked like talented fan art: inks too heavy, physiology a bit off, poses slightly unnatural/unfeasible. It's a drunk Michael Goldman on a deadline (or after a mild stroke).

i always liked pat brodrick did he do some blue devil issues?

Damn, he'd have been great on Blue Devil. Don't think he did, it was Paris Cullins and Alan Kupperberg as the regulars and then the fill-in artists were Keith Giffen, Gil Kane, Ernie Colon, Tod Smith and in the final issue Dan Jurgens.
