Can't beat local knowledge. We had an auto route issue on Navionics where it kept wanting to take us in and out of inlets into the ocean instead of staying in the ICW. Not saying that way wouldn't have been shorter and maybe faster but we wanted to stay inside out of the waves. Thanks again for your sound advice Captain. Be well and best wishes to you guys.

It's nice to have heated dry storage. Dont have to worry about sinking for any reason, or anything bursting from freezing.

Hey Sam I am curious if you update the charts (subscription) on your Garmin chartplotter? I have a Garmin chartplotter and a Raymarine autopilot. If I put a waypoint on the map the autopilot will take me to that point but if I use Auto Routing it will not. Someone mentioned you have to have a chart subscription to use Auto Routing with an autopilot. I ask Garmine and they had no clue. Thanks.

Yes, I have a routine of updating Garmin/Active Captain, Navionics, and Aqua Map updates before each trip, just like we did in the airlines to be sure I had the latest updates! Now, as to Raymarine, it is a bit quirky and you'll need to monkey with it to get it to do what you want it to do. Just like the Airbus! 😎
