Gotta say, starting these vids with Cynda giving us a quiet brief so as not to disturb others has a really nice vibe to it. Top side on the boat, in the marina or taking a walk. Thanks Cynda!

Great episode and a stark reminder of the potential constant repairs that can rear their ugly head. Love those vintage boats!

Gramps needs a few more outboards on his boat! 😂 I'm glad you had the good sense NOT to force that sending unit, it had trouble written ALL over it!

The shipwreck diving is outstanding due to the clarity of the water but you definitely need a 5/7mm suit. You passed a couple wrecks between ABay and Clayton. The 39 NorTech was awesome.

It’s beautiful up there. Them wooden boats are amazing. The couple that bought Scho & Jo’s trawler also hit the 1,000 islands during that poker run. Mom and daughter playing the piano making memories. That was awesome. Oh yeah, your facial expression Admiral Cinda when Capt Mark was about to open up a hole in the bottom of the boat was priceless. Lol

I was literally holding my breath waiting for the water to rush in (and maybe, or maybe NOT, stop rushing in when Mark frantically jammed in the wooden plug!) Looks like they used 5200 or something to install the depth sounder, which is a whole other potential nightmare, so I’m glad you’re going to go to “Plan B” and figure out another way to address the problem. We’re in the process of refinishing the teak trim that covers the gunwale, and it’s a ginormous job - can’t even imagine the work involved in maintaining those gorgeous wooden boats, and I know I wouldn’t want to do it, but they’re sure fun to look at!

Marvelous journey. A personal home study person really missed out on an adventure to remember.

My dad had a 1948 32ft custom that was based off the 1947 16ft Chris Craft. It was African Fir on the outside, Oak on the inside. A carpenter built it, so each rib was 16in on center. It was powered by a 1948 Chrysler Crown Straight 6 (under powered to be honest). We figure the boat weighed about 13 tons by the time we had to have it hauled away. Family sickness took its toll. I miss the days fishing and cruising the Upper Chesapeake Bay on the "Relaxer" (odd name for a wood boat right?). Wish YT would let me put up a picture, but it wont. Come to think of it, I did a live stream back in Nov 24 that had pic's of the boat.
