You illustrate well the different aspects of cruising in this video. Brings back many memories of outrunning a tropical storm on the Great Bahama Bank. Scary, challenging, rewarding and fun all at the same time.

Since most channels are stuck in the pandemic lockdowns, I am enjoying seeing you sail. Thanks for giving us the captains log date. Very interesting watching your crossing. Thanks.

I use to do upholstery work. The work you done on the Bimini was very nice. You are probably the cleanest couple (no tattoos) that sail that I have watched. Delos does have a lot more tattoos yet they talk about using some kind of satellite aid to avoid the waves that are making you sick. Nahoa was one of our original favorites. They’re from Canada you kind of remind me of those people. I kind of wish you had a theme song most of the shows like this does.

Congrats on your first proper ocean sail, isn’t it great! Your sense of achievement lifts your spirit, it’s just you your yacht and the elements. Ocean sailing is when the real adventure begins, not hopping from anchorage to anchorage or marina to marina. I love all your videos but I love the sailing the most, it gives me the feeling I’m out there with you even though it’s mid winter here and we are back in lockdown again so yachting is verboten. Keep the sailing coming it’s good for everyone’s mental health.

Wow!! Incredible and fantastic live video of real time sailing during scary and exciting weather conditions!! I really enjoyed the through explanation of what your plan was and the actual illustrations of showing the live radar and maps, and to include what Kirk's thought process was while the weather and sea was all changing was so fun and exciting to watch. I am nearing retirement and plan to buy a sailboat and do some sailing in the next few years. I find your videos so entertaining and fun to watch and the information and detail you share is so helpful in helping me learn all little nuisances about sailing! Kirk comes across cool and smooth but I can tell both of you freaking geniuses! And Lauren so cute and just adorable and so involved in love of sailing with Kirk. Keep up sharing all the valuable information and tips on sailing. Amen 🙏 Godspeed! Arend

It’s often said the crew gives up long before the boat lets you down, so stay aboard and be calm. Lack of sleep, worry on a big passage, at night, with a light crew, your bound to feel concerns, all good sailers do. Well done guys, you made it.

This is how it starts. You will build confidence and you will learn when to and when not to whatever. And you will hopefully develop a sense of vision. I was a pretty good climber back in 70s 80s and spent a good 8 years looking at El Cap and thinking it was like the moon. When I finally realized the Nose was a relatively straightforward project and and it turned out to be an easy fast climb I realized I could have done it 8 years before. But I lacked the vision. That sense of not having the vision in climbing, sailing, travel, etc. is one of the big regrets of my life. Stay strong in your vision! This has been a great idea from the start and I believe in you. As Bob Bitchin used to say, "Don't dream your life! Live your dream!" Hugs and congrats on your crossing. The Bahamas are going to be great.

Almost an exact copy Of my first crossing (also in a Tarton 37). We went boot key to Bimini in an overnight nightmare crossing. The wind countered the forcast and turned out of the north which stood the seas up in the gulf stream 25-30kts driving rain absolutely black except for cruse ships which have no concern for a small sailboat. So glad to get to Bimini. The schedule thing, Yeah, it causes you push weather windows, The "get-there-idous" can hurt you if you don't keep it in check. We were stuck too long in boot key harbor so we pushed it. You know the rest. Following with great interest, Be careful and Fair winds!

Wow L&K; you had me on the edge of my computer screen; white knuckling it with you actually worried about your passage across the G stream; even though I knew you made it. Great video; thanks for letting us see into the "fear of the unknown " ! ☺♥ I have been in situations with boats; where I've made the wrong decision (ok--stupid ones) in the middle of the bay with the tide and current against each other; with the boat feeling like it was going to fall apart; and not being able to make the right decision; turn around and go back to the safe harbor! In the airplane world they call that "destination fixation" thinking you have to land at a certain airport. Planes crash all the time from that. Glad you guy's made it across!

Wow, just a day after I saw your video about how your posts were jumbled in time, and here's another fix for me. Thanks guys, another great video. As to the noise on a sailboat, I presume your mast lines are internally run, but my last boat had external lines so those little ball loop bungie's were always in the lazerette. Many a time at anchor or the slip did I hate the slapping when I was trying to read or nap. Funny how absence makes you long for certain things. I miss napping in the cockpit well, although at my age I don't think I would sleep so well. Thanks again guys, lovely!

Great job and stay safe. GOD BLESS
