Captain Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Mediterranean weighs in on her past and present Chief Stews, including Hannah Ferrier, Bugsy Drake, Katie Flood, Natasha Webb and Tumi Mhlongo. She says Bugsy created the best tablescapes and Natasha was more resistant to preference sheet requests. She also names all the ladies, except for Natasha, when asked who the crew loved the most and reveals she’d work with Hannah again.

I don’t blame Capt Sandy as much as I blame Malia. Malia is a snake. She was the one responsible trying to get Hannah in trouble. Watch her in her first season of Below Deck Med: her shadiness trying to play 2 guys & her lies w/ Adam. She’s definitely a snake in the grass.

I kinda think captain sandy was “forced” to remove Hannah because it’s on camera. If there were no cameras….hopefully she would have given Hannah a choice. Malia is highly manipulative and creepy.

I thought the way Captain Sandy treated Hannah for having valium aboard was horrible. She obviously was suffering from anxiety which needed to be treated. This is a mental disorder which many people suffer with including myself. Yes she should have reported she was taking it but a person is totally competent when taking valium if taken correctly. No one deserves to be treated like a criminal for taking medication if needed and prescribed.

If it was legit, why didn't she have it logged and stored per maritime law ?? Anyone could have helped themselves to it, she could have taken a higher dose...good luck in an emergency with someone zonked out on Valium.

By the way did you not read that it should have been logged according to maritime law. Read my comment again and show some empathy for people who suffer from anxiety disorder because I function just fine and probably wouldn't without my medication.

​@@SusanC404​She was drinking a lot of alcohol...hardly responsible behaviour when on anxiety meds. Panic attacks are dreadful. Would you want her either out of it on meds, or having a panic attack during an emergency at sea? As it stands, I'm terminal with cancer. I have days when I am below par especially from painkillers and my anxiety meds, so left my job to ensure the safety of my workers and the general public. Be outraged all you want but she didn't follow the rules. She's selfish.

Malia was the s itchy little shady snake 🐍 who ratted her out and got her fired but Hannah knew the law, the job , the rules. She took that chance having the meds on board and not reporting them. I’m sure most of the previous and current deck team don’t report their Adderall or Xanax.

Just watched some older Below Med episodes - what a beeatch she has been to Hannah. When Hannah discovers that Kasy lied on her resume, her response is “Hannah should have trained her by now.” The girl overstated her experience 1000%!! I think Sandyhas some unrequited hots for Hannah.

Hannah did not deserve to be fired. I think on reflection Cap Sandy regrets the decision and I wonder how much of the 'drama of it all' factored into the decision as it probably made for good tv in their minds but I think its left a bad taste. Hannah was great at her job.

It's a CBD pen, not cannabis. Secondly she had a prescription, it's on the side of the box. She had it on the 4 previous seasons. She had it logged and this has all been gone over years ago when it happened. If you've seen every med episode and still have this opinion I would be shocked. The script is literally shown on camera and Sandy in previous seasons very clearly communicated with her about thus very thing. This was a bullshit excuse to fire her after Hannah stopped putting up with a psychotic micromanage on a hollies than though guru kick. Sandy is fucking gross.

I don't get how you don't know that "suppoet" isn't a word. Also, valium is a standard prescription drug for anti-anxiety and is used by millions of people. I didn't think that Hannah was a great chief stew, but that wasn't really a justification for firing her and I think Sandy realized she made a mistake.
