Also another point w/ Ashaya, that helps w/ Destiny Spinner getting added. You can use destiny Spinner to "animate" your creature lands to give them haste to then kill w/ Kamal. Definitely something to consider.
@jonaswilliams97553 жыл бұрын
I actually won a tournament match with this. It was a long game where I lost access to both Kamahl and Selvala, so I couldn't infinitely pump or draw my deck. I used Sisay as a repeatable shuffle effect with a Vivien to cast every creature in my deck. Then I used Destiny Spinner to turn all of my creatures into 4/4s with Elesh Norn and killed the table.
@spacemoose200 Жыл бұрын
The more important aspect is how many board clears are “non-land permanents” making them all one-sided

This deck list is hot! I've been playing Captain for several years now. I've been updating mine more in this direction and I really REALLY like this list. I kinda have to move away from the stax stuff in the groups that I play in...ive tortured them enough with winter orb and Hokori over the years lol

I ran captain sisay in a derevi deck build involving some creatures to manage board state, take things, copy things, and a way to hit with horsemanship which is funny as hell! I'm going to run a captain sisay deck for sure since I love that card and I love green and white mana colors a lot.

This is an incredibly consistent and resilient deck. All the credit to Jonas for putting the new combo engine together. I have already built my own version of this based off of that engine. A fun non-combat alternate win con is Bontu's Monument + Whitemane Lion + any 1 CMC creature you find (Hope of Ghirapur works nicely). I also made mine a bit more stax heavy with Glowrider and Vryn Wingmare and leaned into the creature focus (put Beast Whisperer and Reki in for more consistent card draw) to punish noncreature heavy decks in an asymmetrical way that doesn't hurt me.

I'm trying it with Kodama from Commander Legends instead of Oakhame Adversary ! No particular reasons, I just hate it and wanted to try Kodama in order to have a Vivien-like effect targeting the hand 😜 it also triggers when Vivien's ability resolves so you get 3 pieces just by casting a single creature spell 😁

First one grabs oricale and the 2nd one exiles ur deck then cast oricale and gg

I have a Question, to the Ashaya Combo, how can you repeat the infinite combo when its written that you can use this effect only once each turn? did i miss something ? need answers , building the same deck xD
@cedhtv4 жыл бұрын
if you return the creature to your hand you can re use it. It is a new creature and its ability hasn't been used. Even tho the card has been used recently the CREATURE is a NEW creature. So the trick is that the quarion ranger in this case gets returned to your hand.

If Thassa's Oracle and Ad Nauseum can be legal then why can't Paradox Engine? The fact that this format's banlist isn't taken seriously makes the meta and deck building much more stale than it could be. That being said love the decklist it is just a shame to look at the format we have right now.
@kirdiekirdie3 жыл бұрын
Ad Nauseam isn't an issue in casual because their CMC is way too high. The banlist is designed for casual players. I love Paradox Engine but at least they don't ban mana crypt, Sol ring and Mystic remora, which they would need to in a completely balanced perfect competitive world. Agree on Thassas Oracle though, that wouldn't hurt casuals at all.
@koreyg85524 жыл бұрын
Only thing I hate about creature heavy decks are how boardwipes pretty much take you out the game completely. With my tazri deck if someone deluges , or supreme verdicts in pretty much accepting defeat lol
