This video was somewhat helpful & the whole thing the Captain mentions about making CBRN matter tells people this branch should be avoided completely. Especially if leaders in a unit don’t care about Chem & CBRN & your job is suppose to convince higher ranking individuals why your MOS/Branch matters? Shouldn’t leaders automatically respect each branch of the Army and see their value? I guess not in Chem/CBRN. The Captain shouldn’t be false advertising people claiming that he would have picked the same branch Chem again. He shouldn’t be talking about how great opportunities are in career advancement when shortly after this video he ended up getting out of Chem & the Army. He’s not even doing anything related to Chem so it’s telling me he didn’t enjoy the Chem branch. So why interview someone who is actually telling people the opposite of how they really feel? You can tell by his dull responses he didn’t enjoy this. Also I wish he mention retention rates of the branch as well as promotion rates. It may be beneficial to interview someone else in this branch who can be honest…might even be better if it’s someone who is in a actual Chem unit. Thanks for the video, hope people make a choice that works for them.

Thank you, I certainly appreciate your feedback and your point about how important it is for leaders to respect and understand the value of every branch in the Army. Regarding CPT Baysa, it's worth noting that his views are based on his unique journey and how he navigated his role in this field. While he did honorably transitioned out of the Army, his experiences are valuable, even if they don’t perfectly mirror everyone's path. I appreciate his honorable service and willingness to come on, knowing that criticism would be inevitable. Your comment about interviewing someone currently in a Chemical unit is a good one, and I’m open to doing that in the future. A first-hand account from someone actively serving in a Chem unit could definitely add to this conversation. Once again, I appreciate your willingness to have an open discussion. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts!
