For real, it's telling that I've struggled to find a non-sponsored review of this on the Tube. The Steam reviews indicate that the monetization is pretty horrible, gating story quests behind keys that are drip fed if you don't dish out the cash.

My recomendation is: if you have a gambling problem or can't stand dealing with FOMO when you are not mini-maxing everything in a game... Stay away from gachas entireley. Otherwise, the game fun. It's worth playing for the story mode, at least. The combat is pretty cool, emphasising enviromental hazard and making use of your surrondings a lot more than the average TRPG. So far, I like the pixel animations, soundtrack, and opening chapters of the story too.

I’ve been playing for a couple days since release, and I have to say, the units are incredibly powerful regardless of their rarity (as long as you level them up!) And it might just be me but the gacha luck was great on this game. I once did a ten pull and got THREE legendary units JUST from free summons. And it wasn’t even on a guaranteed banner, just the increased rate ones! So if you like strategy games I would really recommend Sword of Convallaria for both the story, RPG elements, and strategy-focused gameplay. Trust me, the gacha isn’t as big of a deal as others make it out to be :)

I'm not in the market for a new game but it is very pretty. As long as the game is generous enough on the free stuff I'll put up with gacha, especially when they've (apparently) got the whole game already done on release and won't be paygating play time or story content. Ive been playing it, so far my complaints are that some cutscenes go to fast i miss dialog and the mc with some minor npc arnt voiced in story. The gameplay is fun though
