hello capitain chiss im looking to buy 1999 maxum sca with 5.9 cummins 1 engine has one cylinder with low compresion 110lbs does that mean the engine is toast????

How do you know that the compression is low? Did a mechanic do this on a diesel engine inspection? I would ask that mechanics opinion of what they saw.
