I like your one word descriptions. Accurate. LOL. This would be especially great for someone who's transitioning from DJI fpv drones because of the gps recovery. I haven't flown a custom fpv drone yet and I'm not confident with landing manual mode. DJI fpv is horrible landing manually and my avata is blown all over the place with the wind because of the weak motors + heavy body. I do ok in sims but not like real life. I think this would be a good "rookie fpv drone" to acquire for myself.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the fix to a floaty drone is to lower the idle speed of the motors. Not sure if that would mess with the tune or not as Betaflight has changed so much lately. Awesome review as usual 💪🏿

If you are new to drones then you need to know their are two drone hobbies: The beginner drone hobby consists of drones with significant flight assistance so that you can fly the first day you get a drone and require zero technical knowledge . These are Mostly DJI MAVICS, MINIs, AVATA. The Advanced drone hobby is the FPV Drone hobby and for beginners, you can’t fly the same day as beginners have no pilot skills or technical knowledge of the FPV drone hobby. FPV Drones provide no flight assistance.

Question: Been flying camera drones for 10 years now, and wanting to get into FPV. Do I purchase something like this with a pair of Googles, or just buy the Avata II next week? Been flying sims with the Pocket radio but not very good at it, yet. 😂 Thanks
@CAPTAINDRONE7987 ай бұрын
For someone who has been flying DJI Drones, unfortunately your hand/eye coordination will be very poor as the drone does all the work for you. There is no flight assistance in the FPV hobby (you fly as if you are balancing a marble on a board). How do I know DJI pilots have some of the worst hand/eye skills... Well, I'm a DJI pilot since 2013 and when I got into FPV it took months to rewire my brain, but at the same time I am now an INCREDIBLE DJI Mavic pilot. I would say for DJI pilots, stick with DJI, so get the AVATA II and fly in beginner mode of NORMAL and SPORT. I will also say that if you can fly the AVATA in MANUAL mode with the DJI Remote 2, then you would be ready to enter the Pro FPV Drone hobby and should then learn the pilot skills as well as all the technical knowledge you'll need. If the AVATA or DJI FPV existed back in my day, I would have began with that. But, if you wanted to try the FPV Hobby and get a RTF Kit and test out your hand/eye coordination, then get something inexpensive like the BETAFPV CETUS or AQUILLA16 as those kits do have a type of beginner assistance.
@ConceptNull7 ай бұрын
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 All great recommendations, except i would definitely recommend not to go with cheap options, because it will be more expensive in the long run. Just buy either AVATA 2, or Radiomaster Boxer controller. In both cases start with simulators first( Logic FPV, Liftoff or TrypFPV). Then when you get a hang of it in simulator, if bought AVATA 2 start with low rates full acro or in case of boxer buy some small 2-3 inch cinewhoop with goggles 2/integra/goggles3 and start acro. If you dont like the hobby, if you went with expensive options for start, the amount you lose when you sell it second hand is the amount you will pay for CETUS and similar kits. As well going with more expensive option will more likely keep you in the hobby because it is better experience.

@@nGons The Flwoo Explorer 4 O3 frame is ok but it's not the 41g as advertised. I've had it on two sets of scales with all of the TPU and it weighs in at 52g. Which is the same weight as the Flyfish Atlas 4 without the TPU action camera mount. Personally I prefer the Flyfish Atlas 4 at this point in time because it supports 20x20 and 25.5x25.5 stacks/aio. The only 20x20 aios that I've come across are rectangular like the ones Flyoo and Jhemcu produce, and don't fit within the standoffs. On the otherhand there is an abundance of 25.5x25.5 aios and I've currently built the Atlas 4 around a 25.5x25.5 Happymodel 20A AIO with integrated ELRS. I'll be running an O3 on it, gps and a beeper with the plans to get it sub250 on a 1100mah 4S battery. Looking pretty close at the moment, but might have to mod the frame at this stage.

The Explorer LR 4 HD is still better! And it is also under 250g.

Hillarious... Yes, us simple Canadian folk living in our igloos can be bought off with a HOODIE and a Landing Pad! That one made my day (thanks!!!)

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 😉 what.. you have to send the drone back? I love your channel and content! I just hope that your opinions are true unlike some of the other creators out there. BTW I'll send you a nice Iowa hoodie for that StingerBee!

I've watched a few of your "freestyle drone reviews" and well... please learn to fly freestyle or stick with 'camera drones' and learn to fly those. You can't tell if a freestyle drone is well tuned or not with your flying style (punching up in the sky and doing a couple of rolls) and I feel like this is just another paid ad where you tell your viewers the things you are told to tell, as with many of your videos. You are also not really reviewing range or signal quality at all... Or build quality, durability or component choices for that matter.

This is a KZbin channel that does everything in the RC hobby with a cinematic filming style created for beginners and lovers of the hobby. People who only do one thing in the hobby or possibly two, that (like yourself) want to see more, should visit other channels. In order to keep things cinematic and get a HIGH number of viewers returning per item reviewed, I have to leave the FAST MOVING Freestyle behind. There is a reason this channel has a large number of subscribers and my videos get longer views then others that have a high click through rate. In simple terms…. Everything in everyone of my videos is designed to ensure I get longer views and repeat views. What you want me to do will lessen the views as it is not cinematic nor audience attention holding.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Ok, I get your point of view and I understand you look at this as a business and do not care if the viewer gets anything out of this as long as you get lots of views

@@Duutse1I see by your response you are still young. Think of it this way… you are like some guy telling the band THE BEATTLES that if they want their music to be great then they better play guitar like EDDIE VAN HALEN. Are you getting the picture now. If not, then as you mature you’ll eventually figure things out.

Your reviews are hard to watch. The repetitive floatiness talk is nonsense, anything will be floating you when it’s flat it’s not gonna be floating when it’s in a dive. Practice coordinated turns by the way as long as you’ve been flying, it should not look like a beginner in the air.

Interesting. I’d say my loyal viewers have come to know my personality as I review everything in the RC hobby and unlike what you are looking for, my videos are aimed at those who are interested in the RC Hobby and not just a narrow portion like FPV Drones, and definitely not the FPV DRONE SNOBS that continue to ruin the RC hobby for others. You seem to unfortunately be an FPV Drone only dude, so you are disappointed that I don’t do the typical FPV Drone reviews. Fortunately my KZbin views per FPV product video, and watch time, usually exceed any of the FPV only channels for the same product review. This means, that although you may hope to provide your constructive opinion, it has no bearing on the success of this large KZbin channel.
