I'm surprised no one ever mentions that it's extremely similar in form factor to the DJI FPV remote 2/3 and that if you're wanting to switch to an ELRS radio and love that DJI form factor, I would 100% recommend this radio. Not bad for the price and it works well. I've had mine for a few weeks and used it a few times and it honestly just felt like I was using that DJI remote again. My daily driver is the Zorro , but this is my backup radio for now.

Looking at the listing on BG, just to see if you can add other modules besides crossfire. Looking at the part where it talks about the nano interface, it says, ELRS not included in the package, you can buy the module separately, and underneath is a picture of the back of the radio with an ELRS module connected. Pretty sure this is just a mistake, or badly worded, possibly they are going to make a 4-in-1 version? But I wonder if this would hurt sales of the radio? I mean BG isn't Amazon, were you return stuff no questions, so ppl may see the ELRS not included thing and go elsewhere.
@CAPTAINDRONE7987 күн бұрын
The back has the standard NANO attachment and since the radio runs on OPEN TX you can add CROSSFIRE, a Different ELRS, or a 4-in-1 Module. Keep in mind that China does the market on the website so it is pretty much a confusing disaster.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I know, they can be pretty funny at times. They seem to have this quantity over quantity thing. Like the names and descriptions of products just go on and on, and that's before you get to the listings of items, which are normally about 20 pages long. They do this thing where they show a product, say a nice RC Heli, that you know should be $500+, they'll show a picture of the heli and have $1.99 next to it, until you look closely and see the $1.99 is for so spare part for the heli, like a bag of screws or something. So you need to keep this all in mind when buying from BG or AE. I'm sure there's been plenty of folk who thought they were getting a $500 RC helicopter for $1.99 only to end up with a bag of screws, lol.

How come I haven’t seen any drone experts speaking on the drone situation as of lately news? Would love to hear a good theory bet it would get millions of views.
@CAPTAINDRONE7989 күн бұрын
The more respect KZbin channels don’t comment on it in a Video because well… It’s just Silly Stupid. But, viewers do ask me often on here and I give the same answer every time. My theory is that the drones are flown by a small number of US Citizens and NOT by Aliens, the Government or other Countries. The simple reason is because in all the videos, you can see they have blinky lights. Blinky lights means a drone flown by people on the ground that want the drone to be seen, which is something ALIENS, GOVERNMENT and OTHER COUNTRIES would not do. My guess is there are a few idiots flying agricultural drones (those are the size of a small car). They removed the weight of the pesticides so that flight time is quadrupled and they fly them via WAYPOINTS. So basically they run on a timer… Lanuch, flying the pattern, switch on lights, then switch off lights, land in a far away designated landing area.

I don't understand your feedback on trim controls... you need to trim all four stick axes, and since the two trim control knobs are both 2-axed, you have trims for them all... it's just not seperated?! 🙂
@CAPTAINDRONE7986 күн бұрын
First, the comment was made ONLY because I had to find something on the radio to pick on. The Trim buttons are not a bad thing but RC Plane pilots (who only fly planes), really hate radios with two TRIM buttons and prefer the standard four TRIM buttons. Certainly you can use TWO as you would FOUR, but when you are flying a plane, you never look at the radio, so if your fingers move the button the wrong way, you mess up a TRIM on the plane.
@kris-kb4vf6 күн бұрын
the small buttons next to the shoulder strap hook are for the trims, they have 5 positions and in any case for the Quadcopters there is nothing to trim... don't get confused or other people who read will get confused

@jaysdub9 күн бұрын
Higher power will give you better range and penetration. I think he turns it down to the lowest power to really test how good the connection is.
@CAPTAINDRONE7989 күн бұрын
25mw is a very low output. Best for indoors and flying outdoors where you have line of sight. This is how I tested the radio, by setting it to the lowest output and expected it to fail, but the antenna on the radio is top notch so when I flew behind me and had trees, house and my body blocking the signal to the drone, it did extremely well. If you wish to fly out 20 miles, then you’d put it at 1000 mw output power (of course, you’d need to be flying on the salt flats with no interference to get that range).

Are the gimbals full size?
@kris-kb4vf9 күн бұрын
mine was identical to the one in this video, the Gimbals have too short a stroke and cannot be modified, the tension springs even loosening them to the maximum the Gimbals were always excessively hard, flying a Whoop is impossible given how reactive it is as a drone, with 5 inch freestyle drones you need precision in the bid and I don't think this radio can give this, I sent it back to the seller
@CAPTAINDRONE7989 күн бұрын
The gimbals are not as large as say those on a RADIOMASTER TX16S But are the normal size for most popular radios today by Team Blacksheep (crossfire), RADIOMASTER (Pocket & Zorro). The gimbals visually appear larger than the very popular DJI FPV Remote. Also The joysticks can be lengthened if desired. In my hands the joysticks feel better than on the DJI FPV remote which to me has the joysticks feeling too close together. You can fly anything with this remote and drones fly super nimble. Of course if you are a beginner and have only ever used one radio in your life, then at first the Bumblebee Game Controller style may feel awkward and if you have poor flying skills, then you will need practice to get comfortable flying.

What is the best FPV drone when riding a bike? Can you try that out?
@CAPTAINDRONE7989 күн бұрын
You mean, you want a drone to follow you? The lowest cost drone is the DJI NEO, it will follow you on a bike as long as you don’t pedal crazy fast. The BEST drone for this is the DJI Mini 4 Pro, but it is costly because it also can avoid objects while following, but you also need to strap the remote to your bike handles. So I tell everyone to stick with the DJI NEO (no remote required for following).
