Lipos are very safe as long as they are not fully charged and not used for a long time, or are damaged (banged up). I have a video out where I show how batteries should be stored... in Ammo Boxes/Lipo Bags.

Nice, I would like to see it run on grass... I think I may get one.. back in the day i had a doom buggy gas Cox car with big fat wheels... had to put a string underneath to control the direction it drove.. remember the old glow heads and tester gas... This EAT02 is a Monster of a REMOTE CONTROLLED CAR... going to drive mine in low grass, or sand.... thanks Captain!

It looked like at high speed the front end was lifting due to air getting under the front. And of course the tire bounce didn't help matters. It may go 70+ Kmh, but blow over looks to be a problem even with the wheelie rollers.

Plenty of torque which will lift the front end at high speed. If you wanted to race with it, you'd have to change the dirt tires to harder rubber road tires.

It is actually a very good truck, and its not your fault captain drone. It had a very bad landing and the cold may haved been the reason why the plastics are brittle.

that is a good bargin for the money, the only problem is getting parts. you might have to wait a month . i brought a Arrma Kraton 6s v4 red and black for $480 out the door at local hobby shop and all the local shops sale arrma and aftermarket parts. so if i have a problem , i can get her going right away!

Cap'n: taking a closer look at the link: US $189.28 is for a kit with no batteries, power system or transmitter; US $339.28 is the RTR version you reviewed. Honestly, at that price I would go with something like the JLB Racing J3 Speed - I have the older version and cartwheeled it numerous times without breaking anything. In fact, I landed a 8-10' jump poorly at a local skate park before I did that kind of damage to my JLB. Just my two cents. Thanks.

It was an HRB brand battery (off AMAZON) that was a 4S at 5000 mAh with a Deans Connector. You can use any size lipo battery from 2S, 3S or 4S as long as it has a Deans Connector.

This is the ZD Racing MT8 Pirates 3, unfortunately ZD Racing quality has gone in the crapper over the last year or 2. Additionally, with the $209 one, you get the following: 1x RC car frame, 1x Servo+receiever box, 1x Motor seat, 1x Screw set, 4x Tire, nothing else, and it's a kit. The RTR version which really does include everything is $339. My advice, do not waste your money on anything from ZD Racing. I have had any number of their products and they are not really worth it, if the plastic that holds the aluminum parts breaks, the aluminum is worthless. Arrma stuff is far better quality in all respects than ZD Racing could ever hope to be! There are many reviews on ZD Racing stuff, don't take my word for it, check them out.
