Another great accessory video Steve. I love the look of this thing and loved the cordless smart charger from a month or two ago.

I recently picked up the M6D especially for dual output and DC. Got the AC adapter too. Only used a couple times, but I like it. Seems much more stable with the small batteries for UMX planes than my Spektrum chargers. Would have liked to seen more on the additional functions on this model. That seems to be what sets it apart.

The BIG deal with this charger is that they were able to make it Tiny and take AC power directly without an external transformer box.

Hi Captain Drone, Thanks for the great review. I just received mine in the mail and love it’s compact size, quality and all the things that you can do with it. I was wondering if you can answer (hopefully) a quick question! I have the ToolkitRC P200 Power unit and would like to use it to power it up this little charger instead of using another outlet since I already have the P200 plugged in Would you be able to advise me as to what settings I should set the P200 at to fully take advantage of this little charger? Thank you for your time.

Great Job I hate these people that go to review a product and it appears they never even used it or read the instruction manual. the down side to this is it only charges one batt at a time and it not like the spectrum smart battery charger that just does it for you. If you use spectrum smart batts
@CAPTAINDRONE7982 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Spektrum smart batteries have a chip built in which makes them more expensive then the competition, but if you own a Spektrum smart charger, it makes life simple to not have to select amps.

I know this is AC/DC charger, but a while ago you've reviewed M9 from ToolkitRC as well. They are not the same, but very close in price here in Canada currently. Which one would you recommend? M9 is more powerful minus AC option, but even the finish of the product seems way nicer than this "plasticky" M7AC. I already have my trusty iSDT D1 (also AC/DC version), but looking to buy a backup charger, just in case). Which one between the M7AC and the M9, would you go with? Thanks in advance!

is the charger able to power off a solar power box that has a required constant voltage?
@CAPTAINDRONE7982 жыл бұрын
Yes.... But, it all depends on the amp draw. If it is insuffient, the charger will tell you. You may be able to get around it by changing the input power settings, but I've never tried it.

Is this one enough to charge a 6s2p li-ion pack? so if the pack can deliver 5000mAh then I guess this charger can do 100W/22.4V = 4A. So if the pack would be charged to full then it would take a little more than an hour. Am I correct ?
@CAPTAINDRONE798 Жыл бұрын
6S at 5000 mAh would only charge up quickly via DC input. AC input would be slower but still within an hour I believe. I have many chargers that can charge a 5000 mah 6s in 15 mins at 5 amps, but they are 400 watt output on AC.

@CAPTAINDRONE7982 жыл бұрын
I often run external power off the balance cable when I need to power an external device on a drone. I have a special cable that plugs in the balance lead of the battery and reduces the voltage down to 5 or less volts. I bought such a cable on one of the FPV Drone sites but can't recall which (could have been HGLRC, GEPRC, REKON FPV, IFLIGHT, FLYWOO)

what is the noise level on this charger? i really hate the fans and coil whining/static noise with all of the chargers i had till now (hota d6 pro, toolkitrc m6dac etc.)
@CAPTAINDRONE7982 жыл бұрын
Fans on modern chargers do not come on or stay on unless the charger gets really hot, then the noise level is exactly the same as when it was first turned on (you heard the fan do its test for less than a second).
@shotbyarian2 жыл бұрын
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thanks for your response, which unfortunately doesn't answer the question of the noise level of the m7ac. new question: do you consider the toolkitrc m6dac or the toolkitrc m9 a "modern charger"? because they have bad fans in them and bad filtering, i even changed the fan on the m6dac to a noctua one and the difference is crazy!

Hey, how do you charge a 1s battery on this?
@CAPTAINDRONE798 Жыл бұрын
These chargers, like most RC Chargers, are made for 2S to 6S batteries (or 2S to 8S). This is because the charger is designed to use a balance charge which comes fromt the balance plug on the battery and a 1s battery has no such thing.

What's your story? Just received mine, but i have issues with it. Main one is that it wont charge from AC power. First it didn't even turn on from AC. Then i connected the battery (to charge) first so it powered on, and then the AC cable. It read 18.2 V as input, but when i start charging after about 5 seconds it says "main port disconnected" and stops charging. I tried several times... it never powers on from AC. (I know there is a swicth, tried plug the AC cable in ether position and tried to switch it several times. I think it's defective... Also tried to measure resistance of a battery on storage voltage and it said too low voltage to measure. So i charged it first, and then it could measure. But with the next battery also on storage voltage it could measure resistance without issues. Also once i tried to change input settings but I couldn't. The change values option just didn't work until reboot. I feel likea low quality, defective device and i don't feel safe... Especially after your comment. Before I used a B6 mini clone for 5 years now. It's still working but there is no calibration function and internal resistance measurement option. That's why i bought this 'high quality' charger (for about 6 times the price of the B6 clone) and it seems like i have to keep using the B6 clone for now because this ToolKit M7AC doesn't work from AC. I'm not happy at all.
