That machine is a beast for sure. When you pushed out that stump near the KZbin yacht I remembered how much effort you had put into stump removals with your JD 750 and thought "the rest of this video is going to be Captain going to every stump on his property to push it out". Taking down that tree at your brother's was a piece of cake !

But can you get out with the forks up? That’s been a problem with the skid steer’s that and blind spot for setting things with forks like picking up at some heights or truck height where you don’t want to damage the bed a camera would help

The Minotaur is so much more of a machine than one would expect from just looks alone. The power to dig, probably because of the steel tracks far outperforms a CTL but it’s not a direct replacement for all jobs. Looking forward to seeing it perform as a dozer now that you know some hoses need to be connected. Thanks to Case for allowing you to use it and let us see it.

That ain’t no skid steer with dozer capabilities, that’s a small dozer that can masquerade as a skid loader occasionally! What a BEAST! I had to add that as my wife and I study on the acreage we want to buy, a machine like this would be the perfect tool for us to break ground, till soil and re-route water (for an efficient water remediation system) that would not only enhance our property, but add to what nature already gave us.

SORRY for all the comments, the automatic lock in for the Dozer frame under skid steer beast is amazing. Just WOW I thought with my pee brain that you had to somehow get underneath the beast, and hook up/connect the pins, that storage rack for Hydraulic hoses is "A+" that power control hook up for that Dozer frame BOY the Engineering thought on that is just WOW.

I have owned a couple different Case skid loaders. 90xt and a 75xt. They were two of the most powerful machines I have owned. I just hated the traction of a wheel loader. I would love to try one of these compared to what I have now! Glad you got to try it out while getting something done at the yacht!

That Case is a nice machine, I think the fact that it has steel tracks is a game changer. I have never been a fan of skid steers, tired skid steers tend to tear up surfaces and get stuck easier, track skid steers with rubber tracks tend to damage the track easily because it rubber, that being said, would I turn down a skid if was offered or the only thing I could afford, absolutely not, just have to be mindful of what I consider some of the draw backs. Great demo sir, thanks for the ride along.

I think it’s important to note that with Captain come across sometimes as a little bit accident prone. He is not! Dirt perfect brought this out on his podcast I think. Very competent operator. Like a lot of us country people good people getting along working together helping each other out. Not keeping track of the score anything.

Rabbit turtle is like a gear? If it's got multiple gears at the touch of a button, we call that a "power shift." I don't mean to be nasty. I do like this video. I did subscribe to the channel. Thanks for posting this! The reason I brought this up is because I bought one of the first Case IH Maxxum tractor's in the country way back in 1989-1990. It was a 5140. That tractor had 4 ranges and four power shifts in each range. Anyway, one of the local "experts" asked me if it had a turtle rabbit button like his 4 cyl Ford 7700. I tried to explain the the concept of the power shift to him but he just kept asking the same question. Finally, another farmer looked at him and said. "Hey, that's a 6 cylinder Cummins in that tractor. It will eat your tractor." We used to grow onions on muck soil 50 miles NW of NYC. This area is rural suburban in nature. You don't want big heavy tractors on this type of soil. It averages 70% organic matter. So, you don't want to compact it. Anyway, it looks like you have a good channel. Take care.

Love your battery jump STATER (the old JD power supply) great idea in shop if you don't want to buy the Biggest jump STARTER (Harbor freight) had like I did for my 1971 SeaGrave & my Dynahoe-190 the ( Cen-Tech) Automatic Battery Charger/Engine Start. Is that RED dump a straight like 5 or 6 speed or does it have a splitter on top of the shifter. Love the Look of those (GM) style 5 Yarders. A paving company by my area buys lots of them. Same RED color of cabs.

I am glad they are innovating with new designs, and I am sure someone is going to buy these, I just think it is a very specific user, despite how generalized they make this unit appear. If you gotta push so much dirt that you can't do it with your normal skid/CTL, you frankly probably want a bigger machine. It is a very narrow band of job sizes that the dozer aspect of this unit becomes attractive. If nothing else I am very pleased to see those steel tracks, in the right job site that's a huge game changer; the more aggresive tracks are probably required for that dozer attachment to put in any real work.

YES that ROCKY ground would be hard on Rubber tracks. On my driveway replacement the guy doing the cement work ripped a big crack in the Rubber tread. It slowed down the Job, he had 2 laborers that had to do lots of shovel work loading into my front bucket of my Dynahoe-190. The Rental company had to bring out a new Rubber track. Then we spent a hour, just removing the grease from track adjustment. Working the new track on, with steel pry bars, as the guy drove the track on. Then two tubes of grease later, to get right adjustment again on track tension. It really slows down a Job changing Rubber tracks. You ask why "I" did not use the backhoe on Dynahoe-190, it was because of small area with no room to get her into position to do the dig out plus contractor wanted to do the final grading himself. The Dynahoe-190 was just a front bucket dump truck. I stock piled the extra Dirt/ Rocks in my garden bed area in the back yard, so he would not have to haul it away.

Just for anyone watching who doesn't know this. Note how far the Dozer rode up on the trailer before Tracks dropped. It's just an FYI for people to understand the center of gravity for a Dozer will keep going straight up. I'm only saying this for people that don't understand this, not for operators who have done this like 1 million times. There is a drop point on frames of Dozers different from other types of equipment when Loading Dozer type of equipment.

Great video Captain - quickly knocked out some UTube Yacht work (plus work at your brother's new property) AND you get to introduce us to the Case Minotaur! That machine sure looks like it's a solid/versatile piece of equipment. Thinking out loud - - Does anyone make a set of drive-over rubber tracks that would allow operators to easily cover the steel tracks? They might be used on more sensitive terrain where you wouldn't want to tear the surface up as much?. When done with them, just roll 'em up, put 'em in the bucket for transport and you're back to dozer mode (easy-piezy lickety-split)
