Great video, I like this style, keep it coming Alex. I’ve always used Action2 (I had three) but after getting the O3 I sold 2 of them and the one I still have is always in the backpack. Truth is, I learned that (for Freestyle) I can live without audio and no motion blur, if that means flying with 600Gr builds (only Kiss Ultra of course😉) without 80gr on pitch. Also, O3 has better dynamic range and I can overexpose always a little without loosing too much of the sky (she can handle it) and, of course, O3 has less details since I fly 2.7k 120fps 4:3 wide, but again it’s a compromise and I’m fine with that. PS if you want to squeeze the O3 use D-Cinelog, 10bit, detail -2 and NR -2 and locked exposure usually overexposed by 1 stop roughly, that’s what I’m using in all the videos in my channel.

03 and Action2 are very similar in sensor and color. Just record on the air unit. Try 2.7k 120 with the shutter locked to 120, auto iso capped, d cinelike for 10 bit color then use a mavic d-cinelike lut in resolve to color correct. I like to record 0.3-0.7 stops over exposed as well to retain the shadows then bring the highlights down in post. Might be a little more work putting on an nd filter to the 03 and doing post production but it's worth it for the weight savings.

Too much compromise! The settings and look you want for proper footage is completely different to what you need for a good FPV feed. Personally, I tried to make it work for a few months and gave up. If it’s just for DVR style clips, go for it! It’s great for that 👍🏻

Yes ! Light is the way, it just feels better overall, you have more time to do tricks close to the ground. Some people don't like how floaty it is, but it's just a matter of picking the right props. Still not a fan of the extra large fov, the regular "superview" fov fits your flying style better, but that's subjectiv ; )

smooth AF as_ALWAYS - same been cutting weight myself- 03 only w a rode mc to catch audio. adds steps to your post processing time... but the extra 110 grams of battery if i want is very nice to have. Im in the OC as well hell ya Capt.! on my first frame rotor riot got me to pull the triger _ finally built a 4 legged bird 2 months ago. Ur an inspiration!

I switched to Action 2 a long time ago too. If you are using DaVinci Resolve, you can add a little bit of Color Boost and saturation, it really helps to get colours less flat/cold 👌From your experience, are 20x20 stacks as durable as 30x30 stacks ? I am especially concerned about ESCs, larger mosfets might be more durable/resilient, don't you think ?

i just orderd your frame with the motors combo from RR on sale for $154 so im stoaked, i fly with no action camera so it will be really interesting to see how hard it rips with just a wasp link kit and 1200-1300mah packs.. i still need electronics and the link kit but all in good time, i tend to fly fast flowy lines a lot like you just without the reverse madness lol and i know your a stickler for a good flying quad so i thought i would be safe going for you frame for a lighter weight performance build

Man I wish I had your skills.. or even 1/4 of them. I just bought the BMPCC4K naked kit and hopefully can build my AOS 7 cine to fly that bad boy.. but havent even flown a drone yet. Like that New Frame design on the front part, great job man. I fly three of your Vannystyle Frames as Main rig with O3. I always tought about how to fit in the O3 perfectly (think you know my 3D print for the front part on Thingi). I absolutly like how the Vannystyle flys and i definitly stay with it as Main Frame. I would Love to test this New "perfect" Version, looks like this is the way to go. Strong Carbon Cage and 3D inserts, great work man. Any chance of getting this piece of art in Germany? Argh, I miss my Dji Action 2. Lost it at the top of a mountain along with a 7" drone. LOL. Now I bought the GP11 mini and through the testing I agree with your sentiments. My quad is less agile and less responsive for sure because of the added weight... hmmmmmmm :/ Thanks for the video!

Your camera angle looks so low but your speed is really fast. Maybe it's the FOV with the o3 air unit. I noticed I am flying way faster than normal with the same camera angle I have on my Vista quad.
