I have a Speedload 6 and have never had any problems with it jamming on elite darts (or third party copies). Its worth noting that these blasters came in two types of trigger colour and one shoots harder than others (see the Walcomm video on these) - and I got hold of the better ones via Ebay.

My biggest regret is getting rid of my quick 16. I got it at a flea market, and the thing jammed terribly for me. I swear I had 4 darts jammed down the barrel of it once, and they were the tagger darts! After shredding some of the few elite darts I had at the time, I got fed up with it and donated it to goodwill. Wish I hadn't

They should remake all of these blasters to take standard elite darts. The design on most of these blasters is pretty neat and better than the blue and orange that we've been getting for a while, and the internal mags aren't that bad of an idea.

I currently have an unmodified (dart tag front loader pistol) and an unmodified Longshot. They appear to fire about the same velocity, and I know the average stock longshot is something like 60 fps. I can’t imagine the speed loader 6 firing much harder than the other blasters in that line, so it would probably have been about 55-65 fps. Not too shabby, but definitely not perfect by today’s standards

You could just throw rampage internals into the quick 16 to make it direct plunger.

Sadly it is not that easy. The feed mechanism is very different than a Rampage so you cannot just "throw" the internals in. I know people have figured it out but it is complicated.

In my experience i can run streamlines in my speedload 6 just fine, it's just that the range is worse than anything out there and the velocity is probably too low to track.

Tektronix for the power. I took the barrel of an old single shot Daisy and I made the inside wide enough to nicely seat a dart. It acts like a musket. Load dart, use long stick from backyard to shove in, cock, pump 6 times, prepare to get ranges not seen by any jolt reskin.

Depends on the blaster. But any power increase is going to shorten the life of the blaster. That is just part of the trade off.

I noticed with the Snapfire 8 most of the outside shell looks unnecessary and looks like it could be condensed to a smaller frame. Is this true? Also ball parking here how hard do you think it would be to change out the 8 cylinder for a 5 and have it still function?

Not really. Most of the shell is actually part of the structure support. I wish it was a separate firing mech like the Hammershot but it is not. I think fabricating a new rotation mech would be more trouble that it would be worth. I can understand wanting a smaller more easily holstered blaster that is double action though. Might be worth trying.
