Well the Speckled Trout Topwater bite was on fire early in the morning, but turned off shortly after my trolling motor quit on me. So i decided to move spots when I came across something floating in the water that caught my eye. Using a Popping cork with a live shrimp I was able to entice this Blackfish enough to eat, AND THE FIGHT WAS ON! Tripletail are definitely my favorite inshore fish to catch AND eat so yall be looking out for a few more of these videos this summer. Thanks for watching and enjoy!

@@CaptCollier sometimes I Fillet mine off the half shell and dice it up In several inch long pieces and dip it in melted butter and then cover with Blackened Redfish Magic seasoning and blacken in a hot nonstick skillet, the blackened redfish Magic is made by that Chef Paul prudehomme from Louisiana I find it at Rouses and Winn Dixie here in Gulfport,Ms, we catch a few of them 3 tails here to and the trout bite has been 🔥 lately

Can you post the setup you use when speckled trout fishing? It looks like you have popping corks as well, how often do you use those instead of the topwater?
@CaptCollier
@CaptCollier 3 жыл бұрын
yessir. The spinning reels i use mostly are Shimano Stradics or Ultegras, 3000-5000 series, paired with a 7ft medium fast action rod. And I mainly just throw topwater lures early in the mornings or late evenings. Usually the bite will slow down when the sun comes up and ill switch to a jig or popping cork with live shrimp or vudoo shrimp. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

@@heathmcguire7757 make sure you have some kind of tide movement and pay attention to your surroundings..look for bait, birds, trout slicks..etc. Its not full proof but it'll at least get ya in the right area for some.
