UV light penetrates well past 1000 feet and fish vision is strictly UV, fish do not see the mammal color spectrum. Mammals do not see the UV spectrum except wen activated by UV specific light.

Capt.Collier, Nice informative service video. My 2 cent worth of advice from a retired ASE Master Tech regarding to torque wrench. A torque wrench is a tightening tool. It is a very sensitive and precise tightening tool, and should never been used to loosen bolts. Also, when the correct dialed torque is achieved with an audible Click, Stop and it should NOT be tighten passed that.

Capt. You might want to have a set of those spark plug pliers in your boat tool kit. Because if you happen to have fuel issues on the water you'd be happy you'll have them if you need to remove the fuel filter offshore..
@redfishfun5407 күн бұрын
I noticed your fuel filter housing was a little corroded. I had issues replacing them about every 3 years. They make a stainless one it's been on the boat for the last 10 no issues just if you ever have to replace it

Yea I’ve noticed that as well, I will probably look into replacing it next year for sure. Thanks for mentioning that 👍🏻

Good job! After I have filled the lower unit and installed the vent bolt, I tilt the motor up so that when I disconnect the hose, no gear lube can come out. That way I don't have to worry about too much gear lube escaping while I fumble with the drain bolt!

What's the purpose of ' tagging ' flounder or other fish? What happens when someone catches those tagged fish - do they release them, call a number on the tag, collect a prize? Do you report the number used when tagging a fish?
@CaptCollier9 күн бұрын
Sorry, I’ve explained in other videos. If someone catches a tagged fish it is encouraged to call the number on the tag or go to the website to enter the recapture information. Generally it’s just the length, when and where the fish was recaptured. You can chose to harvest or release the fish. Rewards are given for submitted recaptured fish! All this helps our state capture data on these fish learning about their movements and growth
