Heard about the tag program but not much info out there about where they go during the winter. Do they seek out offshore structure and go dormant . Or do they go out over the canyon . Where are the tags being reported?

“Most” of the bigger females migrate offshore to spawn is what I have heard and seen from a few reports. Some people even catching them as bycatch grouper fishing. Some fish still stay around the inshore areas as well. I would like to see more reports from the fish I tag to get more information
