Wally is such of a great-big, cuddly love bug!!! I couldn't help but laugh when he kept ignoring you. Wally will have it so much easier to keep cool now that his fur was shaved. I love his fluffy tail.

He is so precious ❤️ He looks wonderful, one can see what wonderful care you take of his new growing coat - I wonder if,due to the damage from malnutrition during growth period, he would benefit from oil treatment to prevent matting? I often did that with shelter dogs - using avocado or coconut oil with few drops of vit E (or different plant based oils depending on type of the coat, but these two worked universally well, sometimes I added and mixed in a drop of tea tree or lemon oil to large amount of coconut oil to provide suprisingly effective additional bug protection). Damaged, matting coats often have open cuticle which causes the hairs to grab onto eachother and rubbing in melted oil and brushing it into hair really helped both with the tangling, waterproofing as well as with dirt collection and matting. It's great way to keep the coat shiny and easier to brush out too. It's much cheaper than other conditioners and can even serve as replacement for anti-stinkums dry shampoo as the oil seems to remove bad smell from coat as well as allowing the dirt and dust to be brushed out. I've heard great things about plant squalene as well - it's just as non toxic and also great for dry skin. He's an absolute beauty ❤️

He like now I can feel the wind on my face and body! It was amazing when she shaved him and it looked like a fur coat when she dropped his fur around her. He’s so beautiful and you are angels for helping him. Dogs that are saved by their humans never forget that and are the most loyal dogs. It’s like they know you saved them from death or a horrible life. May you all be blessed for eternity.

Wally is going to have a great summer boating and swimming with his haircut. It’ll be easier to dry him off so he won’t have any skin issues and by winter his thick coat will be grown in again. Keep up as much as possible with brushing and combing as it grows out, that helped with my double coated Golden Retriever mixed coat. If I went more than a week without brushing she got bad tangles. He’s a good boy with your kids.
