Good Saturday evening (3-28-2020). Being a retired [computer science] professor and a creature of writing down TODO lists, I included you and yours on today's. I too hope you and your family and friends are doing well and staying reasonably safe, healthy, and somewhat sane. So many of us on here enjoy hearing of your practice and love of flying. We miss your voice, humor, strength, and point of view. Take care; I hope we can hear from you soon. George

Just a few things...#1. Jim didn't say that the partner stayed at the Motel 6, just that he had the secretary book the rooms. 2. Depending on when those rooms were booked, they may have been the only thing available. Have you ever tried to book hotel rooms close to a major racetrack for when the race was on? Next near to impossible, unless you do it at least a year in advance. just saying...

It is extremely important for safety to keep your flight crews properly looked after and well rested. They normally stay in mid-range Hilton properties and should have been trusted to book their own rooms for this flight as well. The secretary does need to get the message that the next time flight crew looks after booking their own rooms. The partner would likely be shocked if he learns they were put up in an old Motel 6.

That must've been real nice going from that light snow cover in St. Louis to Daytona in just a matter of hours! I can only imagine! We hit 59° here the other day - that's about as close as I can get to nice weather in MA this time of year. :) I'd take the Motel 6, Jim - I'm normally in a tent! 😂 That would be a HUGE step up for me. 😁 What a great sound from the track! Never been to Daytona. Been meaning to go there since I got my motorcycle license in 1991, for Bike Week and the 500. Still haven't made it yet. I suppose there's still time ... 🤣 Anyway, thanks for sharing the beautiful sights, as always!

No disrespect intended, but ditch the tunes and tell us what is happening :) Narrate the walk around, the preflight, all of that stuff. Tell your viewers how these magnificent aircraft operate :) Thanks, and keep up the fantastic work!

No and I don't know anyone who does. I always carry earplugs for noisy hotels, a clothes pin to pin the curtain closed(helps with outside lights), my phone has a white noise generator(helps with ac wall units that cycle on and off), and sticky notes to cover appliance/tv LED lights. Helps a lot.
