its because pilots are more experienced and they know planes are the safest mode of travel, theres a reason so little as an engine failure gets on the news because its so ridiculously rare, and planes are designed to fly on one engine
@MaryOpel Жыл бұрын

@LordOfSweden Жыл бұрын
@@megapizzaplex- Yeah but after watching enough mentour pilots, I know that the risk is not engine failure... but pilot failure. Specifically Senior pilots / captais who f up and just crash plane. I watched 3 videos today. Reasons for crashes: 1. Senior pilot accidently pulled the wrong lever to feather the propellers instead of the flaps..... then instead of realizing it and fixing it, when missing the path to runway, turn hard left and stall the plane 2. Captain having some kind of breakdown and just nosedive the plane when he was suppose to do a go around because of wind, even tho the co pilot tell him to pull up and even tries it himself 3. Captain uninterested in breifing before flight, young co-pilot did everything right and by the book, gets ignored by captain. Engine failure on start and captain not retracting landing gear, accidently pull back the thrust and not knowing what to do so keeps climbing at a normal rate with 1 engine and reduced thrust on the one engine they had.... so the plane stalls All just embarassing, sad mistakes by senior pilots causing hundreds of deaths Senior pilots seem to be the problem

Paula Johnson Yes, you’re right, loads of ex USAF, MC and USN pilots do go to being airline pilots after a while and they just want to keep flying instead of moving up the ranks to get an officers office job. That in no way manages to catch up to the number of pilots who come from civilian flight school though. Also as ‘MG’ had said, the Military only hires the top people who not only fit the characteristics of a pilot but also as an officer who could become the next General one day. Not quite such a large amount of ex military pilots as you seem to have thought.
