Capture Information with the Capture Step | Introduction to Voiceflow 2024

"If you try to capture to many Entities in the same block you will have isuues". Did you solve this already? Maybe with SetAI? Thanks

Can we have a button and a capture step in the same stage ?

Not in the same block, but you can make them sequential if you wanted a button and then to capture an entity after the button selection! You can also toggle "listen for other intents" to trigger another workflow that captures entities in a specific intent case.

when i drag the capture block i don't get the same message you get , i get "select entity to capture" how can i get the same one you have

Can I capture a button selection in a variable?

Yup! After a button is clicked use the ‘set step’ to set a variable. On the button itself there’s an option to do this via an ‘action’

It perfectly extracts email from the text. But if you enter something like this: "jhkfsa fka hfkash fkasdh" - it also successfully sets the email variable. It's a bug from my oppinion.

Hm, have you tried training the assistant (2:00) to recognize the example utterances it should capture? It might be resolved with more sample utterances but we'll note it down regardless, thanks for flagging!
