This is the update I have been waiting for. Just activated my ipad license again. Now - with renaming and live view - it seems usable for me again. I just wish in the renaming I could eliminate the hyphen ("-001") and use an underscore ("_001"). I hope you might add this as an option.

Thanks. Capture One is such an impressive software! However, I’m still struggling to find a way to transfer the tethered session from my iPad to my computer. Is syncing to the cloud the only option? It’s just too slow with big files. I have normally chosen the most important photos on the iPad and exported these as EIP files, then sent them over AirDrop and imported the rest of the photos from the memory card to my computer. However, it would be great to be able to sync only the iPad capture session to the cloud and then retrieve photos from the SD card to the computer and get those files connected with the right settings and ratings from the cloud on my Mac. I guess this is not possible yet, but it would speed up daily processes a lot as you would not need to transfer huge files over the cloud, only the session information.

I use one port on my camera for the USB/Tether cable, and the other (micro HDMI jack) to use a strobe trigger mounted to the hot shoe of my camera. This leaves no open portal for an intervalometer or remote camera trigger. its there some way to use Capture One (either iPad or Desktop) to capture a series of images with a set timing interval between them (as in Time-Lapse pohotography)?

I just want to use an iPad and Capture One for Client to wirelessly review images on location (without any other equipment other than a camera and an iPad). Is this possible? No cords, no high resolution images, no saving to anywhere other than the card in the camera. As far as I can tell, the only way to do this is by having C1 running elsewhere on a laptop, then connected to a router and then use Capture Pilot on an iPad. While not the worst setup, when you're on-location this becomes cumbersome and requires additional people to manage the inevitable troubleshooting as well as power for laptop, router and iPad(s).

So cool. I do a lot off headshots. And it would be very usefull to be able to let the client see the shots on the iPad, and tack them on the iPad. Whould that *tack* be tranfered to the camera/memory card ? Greetings jeppe
@CaptureOne6 ай бұрын
That wouldn't be possible, but why are you looking for the approval to go back to the memory card when it's already on the iPad? You could also use Capture One Live more effectively. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYi3eYGAq7Z_bNkfeature=shared

I want the client to select the photo,on the iPad that he/she want to have processed. When I get home I take the files from the memory card and proces it. It easier for me to use the iPad instead of a laptop@@CaptureOne

@@jeppemichaeljensen2684 Not sure I understand as the RAW files will already be on the iPad and can be processed there?
@jeppemichaeljensen26846 ай бұрын
@@CaptureOne I will only use the iPad for selection. Not proces on iPad.
@CaptureOne6 ай бұрын
@@jeppemichaeljensen2684 Then it would be more efficient to transfer the RAW files as EIP from iPad to desktop, either via Capture One Cloud, via hard drive, AirDrop etc.

My main complaint is that it takes way too much space from my iPad. I bought an external 512gb drive but alas it can’t be assigned as where I want the catalog to go or backup the content as I shoot.
@rodriguezahr4 ай бұрын
So it can’t be used with an external ssd? Another question I’m not getting an answer to is whether pictures captured to iPad can be copied to an external drive. Sending them over the cloud is no option for me.
@thegirlwhowasntthere4 ай бұрын
@@rodriguezahrNope, the photos can’t be stores as you shoot. I’ve been shooting using the option “capture one + sd card”, so the app is just a viewer during the shoot

Can I re tether on capture one for Ipad, I have a sony A71V camera. I can't get it to work even tried reloading the app. Can you please help.

@@CaptureOne Thanks for that info. However my C1 app has changed. When I connect via a cable it beeps and only shows my camera name under the Import Tab. Clicking the up or down arrow next to the Connect Name tab does not do anything, very confusing. If I click on the Connect tab itself it takes me to a first time user screen which I don't understand. Also my wireless connection used to work but it doesn't any longer. Can you please explain what's happening ? I use the WiFi Direct option as before, then in the Ipad settings, connect to the displayed parameters show on the LCD of the camera. The PC remote tab moves to ON, it was Off before. After 30 secs or so, a line displays in orange under the new connection saying the wifi is longer connected? The camera now does not show as being connected, so no image transfers function It's still working the old way on the iphone app. How do I set this wireless connection up with the Sony A7M4 after these updates. can you give me a sequence of action I need to complete to get it all working like it used to do. @@CaptureOne Hi again, Connecting to the Camera’s Network, following your link to set up wireless tether Sony a7RV On the camera, go to the Network menu > Cnct./PC Remote > PC Remote Function > Wi-Fi Direct Info. > select OK: Connect your iPad to the camera network displayed on the camera LCD after changing to the Settings app on my Ipad. This network displays and connects ok, PC Remote on camera menu changes from off to on after doing this. Everything looks good! In Capture One, go to the Connect tab , on the sidebar menu (iPad) > tap ⋯ next to the camera model under Connect > tap Connect This is where there's a problem, I can never see the camera name now, either under the connect or the Import tab. There's obviously a problem with the very latest changes made to this function, it always worked exactly as above before the recent changes. Could you please try it with the latest Ipad app This is a very important feature for me as a pro photographer so I would greatly appreciate if you could get a solution for this problem Regards Michael
