Hi. 51:13 shows that the free version supports importing certain CAD standards into projects, right? Was that changed for the 2022 version? Because I'm not seeing a way to import CAD data without an account. I'm working on my graduate thesis and need to be able to compare scanned milled parts to nominal CAD data. I assume even the free version requires an account to be able to import CAD data? Thank you.

Hi! It is free to create a ZEISS ID account. Please sign up with your email and password so you can sign into the ZEISS Quality Suite and launch ZEISS Inspect (formerly GOM Inspect), where you should have access to the CAD import function.

I would like to ask how I can attach additional CAD data, because when I attach via the add to part option, the RPS alignment throws me. How to correctly attach CAD data more CAD data. Thank you very much

Hi Katrina, The RPS alignment can sometimes get thrown off if there are anomalies in the CAD or the CAD surfaces are inverted. Once you import the new CAD, try editing or rebuilding the RPS alignment. If that doesn't work, look carefully at the new CAD and check for any teal colored CAD surfaces. If you see any, they are inverted and can be fixed using a function under Operations>CAD.
