Capturing Iconic Photos / Photographing Hamnøy in Lofoten

We've all been there. Iconic destinations where photographers show up every day to basically recreate the same photo over and over. Are these shots worth the effort? In this video I share some thoughts about iconic photos while visiting the most popular spot in Lofoten, Norway -- the Hamnøy Bridge. And yes, I take a photo of my own, plus a completely different, non-iconic photo from the same location for comparison.

Another great one Todd. I love your take on this endless discussion about photography. Avoiding the iconic shot for the sake of just avoiding it looks like a non sense. But taking this shot shouldn't be the end of it. Your second shot is obviously a very unique and personal take on this location. In a way you're bringing you very own perspective of photography on an iconic location. A picture to be proud of because it is your composition and your emotional perception of this place. This video was shot in early March, 2019. Weather literally changes every few minutes. It was never super super cold, but there was a fair amount of snow and sleet.
