I somehow stumbled into marching band photography. After hanging around taking photos of my daughters for my own use, it got noticed by the band directors at their school, asked me to do photography for them, and now I’m at the school for months during the summer for rehearsals, traveling with the band for competitions, and providing them with images to use on social media and some miscellaneous print materials (calendars they sell to generate money for the band). I don’t know it it’s necessarily a niche, but it does take a certain amount of skill to know what to shoot, when, and how to not get in the way while still getting good images.

Yes, my niche is that I put history, scale models and photo together. Let me elaborate further with it. I build scale models of WW2 AFV and aircrafts. For every model I decide to build I read the history of its development, production and use. I try to build the model as authentic as possible based on a real item. When a model is built I photograph it, regular photos and macro photos (usually 0,5x). Finally I produce short stories whith text and photos. Then I do other stuff before taking on the next project 🙂 Thank you for the great work you put into your channel which I learn a lot from!

i commited that mistake too, man. i was photographing everything.. kkkkkkkkkk but not getting specialized or mastering any genre.
