Only thing here is Ecto looks like it did in the first movie, shouldn't it look like it did in the second movie?

Yes it logically would but they ended up changing to ecto-1b during the video game but by the time the video game has ended they will have reverted back to its original design with a better engine and added gunner seat and a ghost trap RTV as the original design will have been much more durable and less weight to drive around with
