jeffwarner9771;man the first time I visited Cleveland(yes THAT'S the proper spelling,but a newspaper typo spelled it Cleveland in 1964 and that mis-spelling stuck)was in 1989 for my cousind' wedding,and there was this incredible nightclub with stadium seating where my brother(who has superb dancing skills) got"SMOKED"by some dude from Cleaveland!! I noticed the residential areas looked identical to Detroits' and had to constantly remind myself that I was no longer in Detroit,but rather off of the southern shore of Lake Erie!! 😮

This is nothing compared to Detroits' former nightclub district between East Jefferson and the strait/river that separates the United States from the Dominion of Canada,until Dennis Archer implemented "Imminent Domain" to drive out dozens of taverns,marinas,nightclubs and restaurants to PURPORTEDLY make room for permanent casinos on the riverfront!! Yet,as it stands today there is not a SINGLE casino,or casino-operated hotel south of East Jefferson!! Only abandoned businesses and shuttered warehouses blighting the waterfront. 😢 I walked through there in 2017 and nearly started crying over all the desolation and decay I saw!! 😢
