Low pass means the cut of where you want the freq to attenuate.. for eg 80Hz if you set it at 80Hz then the amp won't feed the subs freq above 80Hz LPF boost is just like bass boost,different companies implement it different ways.

Absolutely wrong. If the lo pass is around 80hz and vocal is coming in the connected driver then either amp is bad or the displayed Hz values are wrong.

Then, I think instead of telling to lo pass at 30-40Hz more meaningful would be to tell people that this is specifically for this or similar amps as the numbers on these amps are wrong and it should be set depending on the sub and the hipass of other speakers as people will do the same in other amps too based on these numbers, few comments here itself says that.
