I had one of those horrible MG HS when they first come out on a 20 plate worst car I ever owned felt unsafe to drive From day 1. Happiest day of my life was the day my wife. Wrapped it up obviously after finding out her and my daughter and the other party were safe and well with no one with any injuries

Great video, Cant believe they had the roof off the MG did not seem to be any real damage to it. Wonder why insurances are going up , that would have been repairable. guess just easier to write stuff off than repair these days. At least no one was seriously injured or worse

A lot of the time, roof removal isn’t just about the amount of damage, it’s mainly when the occupants of the vehicle have neck or back injuries so the fire crew remove the roof for a safe extraction of the occupants. If there’s any neck or back issue, they need to keep the patient as still and as straight as possible and need the extra space to use a spinal board for the extraction.

@@Kromaatikseas soon as someone complains of neck or back pain, they will aim to totally immobilise the patient. Most times it turns out to be no injury, probably just muscular tension but they will never take a chance. I had a very small accident and felt hardly any pain at the time but now, 7 years later, I suffer with severe back problems and often need to use a wheelchair to get out and about.

Just curious, cause this is how I would have done it. Why didn’t you spec the Astra and bed the MG? I’d have put the Astra on spec single strap took it over near MG, dropped it, pulled on MG with Jims strapped it down with one over the top to hold roof Tetris in, then picked up the Astra again and gone.

As the driver off the cam van! No, my back end was not hanging in the other carriage way! The MG came from ahead of me into oncoming traffic, and the Mercedes collided with it. It had plenty of room where I was to spin around and take me with it. It was on the throttle, not the brake ! Amazing how many people make up their own theories.

You did a bang on job sorting them all ! Thank you for sorting my Vw Transporter out, patching up the window, so no further damage was done. I think you did a great job considering that the keys were taken etc for the MG.Which I don't understand as it wasn't like he was going to be driving it anywhere again. Highly recommend always. Straight to the scene and jobs a gooden ! Fast and efficient to get my vehicle to the body shop too.Always get the haters from competition! Keep up the top work !

@@GDBRescueandrecovery police officer ask you could you recover the mg as it was part out on a main road you could of loaded mg on the back of the tilt and slide and then put the astra on the spec lift and return later for the Transporter as transporter not causing any obstruction with the mercedes think smarter. god bless you from a old age pensioners recovery man 👍
