I'm also later to the game than I planned to be and have been trying to made up for lost time in the past few years. It's mad how I can look at these cars and recognise them instantly and name a lot of the owners that I've met over the years, a lot of them I'd consider as personal friends despite being on the opposite side of the island from me. That's what car culture does in Ireland, people literally drive the country top to bottom, going to car shows sometimes back to back and meet new people along the way. I haven't gotten to see my car friends since 2019. I can't wait until car show season is back.

On the electric vehicle government thing, I really hope that by 2030 us carguys can still go for a sunday cruise in the cars we love. I get the environment stuff but it should still be possible to own a classic or fun car and drive a couple times a month. The governments should help promote elctric vehicles to the masses, to the guys who dont really care. But the few of us who care for cars arent as big of an impact on the environment as the guys who commute to work everyday. I hope they will let us continue with our passion

Has been a very long year, and still we're not totally out of the hole. As you said, let's try to be optimistic... the same about the time we will have to drive around our cars and bikes before the Eurocrats remove them from the roads. Mad Max scenario is closer and closer and closer... Thanks for your videos and your work. I discover this channel only weeks ago, but im enjoying (and commenting, just in case that helps) many of the old videos. The one i found really inspiring and very emotional was the one where Reuben drift over the lake in Sweden, without be sure if the ice was thick and strong enough; what's life if you don't take any risk? I'm not called Darren so I can't be part of the Ford scene, but I love the cars and genuinely nothing has made me feel the excitement that I did as a kid when the first pictures fo the Escort RS Cosworth came out. I was leafing through Performance Ford magazine in awe. I like the idea of 10x hour long episodes, but then that would mean no VLOG updates from you for all that time. I don't know about everybody else, but I'm invested in you and the guys as well, and what you're up to! Everythings gone up by at least 10k, all the things I couldn't afford as a teenager are now too expensive for me as an adult. It never ceases to amaze me the sheer variety and quality of cars you've got over there. I'm in a similarly small country and the car scene isn't anywhere near as good as yours :D While I have a preference for japanese vehicles, I'm really just a car guy like you. Most things get my attetion if they're done well, or even just enough out of the ordinary that it's noticeable like. So while I have a lot of appreciation for oem plus stuff like the VW scene, I'd just personally much rather have that red R32 because it's just so good!

Went to a meet locally on the weekend. Guy showed up with a 4 door cosworth sierra rs. Was one of the few guys that recognised what the car was so got talking to him. He'd recently turned down an over of 60k australian i think he was. Supposedly one of the 2 doors sold for 120,000 at auction last week. MENTAL!
