Georgia investigators are relieved to find no one is home during a house fire but as forensic examiners know first impressions can be deceiving. In the dense woods of Northern Tennessee

Well Gerry, if you know anything about the law, then you would know that 20 years was considered "life" if you had to put a number to it. And if that does not anger you enough, then let me further explain. Once you put a number to something, then you can reduce that number. In other words, "life" and 20 years are 2 different sentences. So the first one you likely will never be free again. The other one can attach time off for good behavior, parole.

And after her ex tries to run over Al, Donna tells police she doesn't think her ex would kill Al. Really? Donna is dumb as a bucket of rocks.

In the first case, maybe Donna told her ex Hamilton’s schedule. That gave him time to be in house waiting for Hamilton to come home after 3am. So sad a nice guy like Hamilton who cared for his elderly mom and disabled sister had to die over a jealous husband. I think what helped was that investigator who went to the house and found the blood splatters. The homicide detectives weren’t finding anything nor investigating as a homicide until his first visit to the house and pointing out all the blood. They would have never solved it. They actually did a shoddy job up until the point this experienced man entered the crime scene. Once they knew the ex had used Hamilton’s phone, I don’t know why they didn’t look for fingerprints.

Don't understand why Donna, in the first case, would not tell about the bags and shoes. And why the he!! her mom would have been so cavalier to let him in on the first place since he was violent. ( may have answered my own question therel). Anyway, these two seemed a bit silly in not thinking he was not involved. In addition, on the second case..oh yeah, there was a note in her car to meet at a boat ramp in the woods in a man's handwriting. Anyway, glad the cases were solved in the end.

We’ve all watched enough of these shows to know these woods are very different than where the quilt and gloves were found. And that can be the nail in the coffin for the accused. And- go ahead, take those gloves, with your bare hands -OUT OF THE EVIDENCE BAG and handle them. I realize these are re-enactments and it was the 90s (not the 1890s ffs) , but the notes came from somewhere. Crazy.

I wonder the same thing. She says when her ex showed up at her mother’s house it upset her, but when her mother was alone and sleeping, it didn’t bother her or seem out of ordinary that her daughter’s ex would just walk in house looking for Donna, allowed to go in her bedroom alone to “put things” and leave his shoes as if he lived there. When Donna first went to police she was adamant something had happened already knowing her ex had left Hamilton’s things in her room (that information would have helped) and that her ex was unhappy she was seeing Hamilton and she witnessed him almost running him over. She also knew her ex had called her on night Hamilton was killed and didn’t share that information initially nor what he said or wanted. It was also so easy for her to start seeing her ex again (supposedly for police) like if they had never broke up.

In the second case, It wasn`t clear to me whether the quilt fibres found IN HIS CAR had the victims blood on them. If not, then since the quilt was often in the car, the fact that the fibres were the same as those found on the quilt from the murder scene in itself proves nothing. Of course they were the same! It was the man`s quilt. In order to prove the link the prosecution would have had to demonstrate that it was AFTER the victim had been murdered that the quilt was returned to the car, and that`s where the bloody fibres were found, . He claimed that the quilt had been stolen. So theoretically, the person who stole the quilt could have murdered the victim instead. Whatever, he was found guilty. Good thing I wasn`t on the jury.

Question: Why do Americans never pronounce their “ T”? The guy was “sennenced” is one.

Southern region of US has that accent. Called a "Southern Accent" it's very distinctive.

Overstatement. Only a portion slur in that manner especially some southern accents or familial. I'm listening hearing every "T" pronounced distinctly. Where is an example in this video?

Can I ask if anyone else gets annoyed at shows like this that go so far as to make it 'realistic' but not do it correctly? They go and get the firefighters run to gear and get in the truck...get there and do the hose etc but then while they go into the smoke-filled home to search for people they DON'T HAVE OXYGEN ON but have eye protection. Sorry, it just annoys me.

@@jamesg376 I am calm and I have a right to be annoyed. I know absolutely nothing about directing producing acting etc. I leave that to those who know how and who have a passion for it. I just asked if anyone else feels the way I do. Sounds like you do not. Have a wonderful day.
