There's never a good reason for murder but some killers are especially cruel - choosing their victims at random or with no apparent motive and then expertly covering their tracks. These crimes may seem unsolvable, but telling clues remain. It's up to investigators to follow the trail of evidence to capture these deadly killers.

@@beaulieuonnp593 , You're right. In my country we had a man and his wife working together, living in an ordinary home in an ordinary suburb. They'd drive around after school hours, and offer (mainly primary school girls) a lift home. These girls simply disappeared. If I remember correctly 6 girls were never again heard of and their bodies were never found. The next girl got away and, realising their time was up, the man and wife committed suicide.

Problem is that many of them are involved in drugs or other illicit activity, which makes their testimony unreliable. It isn't necessarily because they're prostitutes, but because of everything else that comes with prostitution. You'll notice that these issues are less common in places that have legalized and regulated prostitution. That's because lifting prohibition laws allows these individuals to practice in the open as a lawful business, which grants them overt protection from law enforcement and the judicial system, as well as fostering a sense of cooperation between them and authorities.

Vomited blood can be bright red OR brown with a ground coffee appearance. In fact, the color can help physicians in determining the source and severity of the bleeding. Bright red blood [not from swallowing blood from a bloody nose or mouth] oftens indicates an acute bleed in the esophagus or stomach and usually represents a fast-bleeding source. Darker or brownish blood indicates the blood has been in the GI tract for a few hours; it usually represents a slower and steadier source of bleeding.

If people were educated the way *@Jessica* - suggests, you’d be educating the sociopaths (2% of the population, est) and psychopaths (1%, est), as well as the fine, upstanding citizens. Do you really want to do that?? I certainly wouldn’t! An educated citizenry is the best defense against tyranny and criminals, so if people would only take their education seriously, and go to college after high school, and _READ FOR A FEW HOURS EVERY DAY,_ people would suddenly be a whole lot smarter! Hell, I remember the advanced course in cellular and molecular biology I had as a junior in high school 42 years ago, so I totally grasped DNA procedure! Reading aids memory which aids learning which leads to critical thinking....geez, people could be even smarter than the bad guys!!

I agree with you, law enforcement, judicial system workers, attorneys & lawyers crime scene technicians etc etc speak of something called the “CSI effect”. “The CSI effect refers to the suggestion that jurors who watch fictional crime scene television programs such as CSI and Law and Order have changed their requirements for delivering a verdict according to the presence or absence of forensic evidence. ... There is a tendency of jury members to overrate DNA evidence.” If you’re interested, there are some really interesting “Scholarly Articles” about this online. I think that there is also a documentary that refers to this “effect” too but unfortunately I can’t remember where I saw it (sorry). Finally, I agree that people would benefit from learning about the reality of crime scene investigations because as we know - TV CSI and the REAL world of CSI are very different.

It's true that criminals are often stupid. But it's also equally true that they are inexperienced and don't know the game well enough to know how to avoid leaving all possible evidence. People who do forensic science study to learn how to do it and then do it all day every day. That's what they do. Criminals usually don't "work" on a daily basis, month after month and year after year the way forensic investigators do. It's like the criminals think they have a chance getting in the ring with a pro boxer in the form of a forensic investigative team.

These poor brave young girls, how about blaming the men who stalk and kill them. Police gotta stop treating these girls as less than deserving that their daughters are .They seek work like this to survive cause its their last option..Men looking for sex and killing have options. What makes more men than women murders? Why do we keep murders alive in jail? What''s the point? It's a waste of tax payers money something the government is really good at doing. Perfect example.
@4thamendment237
@4thamendment237 2 жыл бұрын
@ Wave Rider -- if your concern is that it costs more to keep people in jail than to execute them, that's a commonly held but mistaken belief. It costs the taxpayers more to execute someone than keep them for life. Look it up. It costs a LOT of money to put on a murder trial and then to exhaust the appeals process. And the taxpayers pay for all of it. Because unless the defendant is really rich, they are soon out of money paying for lawyers and then get a public defender. Guess who pays for that? The PUBLIC. The public pays for all the costs -- prosecution, defense, court, judge, law enforcement, expert witnesses, etc. Then you should look at the time delay between arrest and execution when it does happen. That's usually at least 15, more like 20 years, and the taxpayers pay for all of that, too. The next time you hear about somebody having been executed, listen for when the original crime was committed. You might be surprised. Here are some executions which have happened recently -- Daniel Lewis Lee, White male, executed on July 14, 2020. Daniel Lewis Lee and co-defendant Chevie Kehoe were convicted in 1999 of killing Nancy Mueller, her husband William Mueller, and her 8-year-old daughter Sarah Powell. Dustin Lee Honken, white male, executed on July 17, 2020. Dustin Lee Honken was sentenced to death for the murder of two girls in Iowa in 1993. Orlando Hall, Black male, executed on November 19, 2020. Hall was charged alongside Bruce Webster in Fort Worth, Texas with the abduction, sexual assault, and beating murder of a 16-year-old black female. They were tried separately. Hall was sentenced to death in November 1995. Webster was sentenced to death in June 1996. Corey Johnson, Black male, executed on January 14, 2021. Johnson was a member of an inner-city gang in Richmond, VA. He was sentenced to death in February 1993 for his participation in a series of drug-related murders. Dustin John Higgs, Black male, executed on January 16, 2021. Higgs was convicted in October 2000 of ordering the 1996 murder of three Maryland women after arguing with one of them in his apartment. There are plenty more, but I think you get the idea. Don't like the pesky, long drawn out appeals process and want speedy justice? Move to Iran or North Korea. The justice systems there move very quickly. Whether or not there's really enough evidence to convicted you or if you're guilty or not. Hey, sometimes in places like those they just make up charges against you because you're a little inconvenient or annoying to somebody in power. In countries like those the death penalty has an express lane. Because you're guilty until proven guilty.
