Depreciation value is present in any consumer product be it Electronics, Automobiles or Electric Appliances.. But most of them have become a necessity rather than luxury.. This video just describes the downsides of buying a car.. Eventually you'll spend around the same if you are travelling by any other means.. For instance, if you have a family of 5 and if you want to take your family on a vacation, you have the bus booking charges and then the local transport charges.. Say for instance your travel is for 500 kms.. Your bus service provider would cost at least 1k per ticket which equals 5k for the bus ticket itself(10k 2 way) and then you have local commute which would be around 2k atleast.. Consider that you have a small hatchback which could fit in 5 ppl.. Assuming that your hatch returns a mileage of 14 kmpl, you need to fill 36 litres which would cost you at 2.5k approx one way.. So you save almost 7.5k for a trip which would balance the other costs involved in owning a car.. This scenario is assuming a middle class family.. Owning a car also has a lot of advantages which outweigh it's downsides.. If finances are carefully planned, then you might find a way to properly utilize it on buying a vehicle and to Enjoy your Drive too!!

Very good points but most people think that only buying a car is enough they don't even consider the points you mentioned Sir 👍you got a new subscriber and do keep up with the informative videos.
@nononsense1293 жыл бұрын
Agree with you that we pay 11 lakh for 7 yrs but otherwise we need to commute right if we use taxis for all our essential commutes for 7 years it would cost nearly half of that. I would say buying an economical car like swift won't be a bad choice even on loan but buying more than one without proper usage requirements is a bad idea.

Hey...which car do you own? I own an EcoSport DCT, 7 years old, happy with the performance, takes me and my family places, saves me from heat and rain and dust, awesome emergency vehicle during times of emergency. I love it, and being a petrol head, I find it ok to spend money to upkeep the vehicle. I maintain a motorbike too, for my commute and weekend rides. I spend on its insurance and upkeep, and in return it gives me happiness when I wring the throttle on a highway. It cured me of my depression when I used to have suicidal thoughts, and no one can compare that feeling of being happy again with the money I have spent. Anyway, eye opener is good, people should think become investing, but I guess there's something called as contentment which people find in things they spend money on.

Very nice video. Some people also started understanding this. I have seen few sr management people in our company not owning car. Rather they prefer to use Ola or Uber cab. Bcoz in their case they need to buy bigger car of min 20 lac plus driver is required, so Ola Uber becomes very very economical for them.

Baat to sahi hai car buying is costly and maintenace is high.but we have only one life out of which 25-30 years are already gone. Aur apne dil ke nai ki even at young age to kab karega insaan .after a certain age .person dont have interest in showing off or spend that much on car .responsibilities take over. I think spending 11.99 is even worth it right now. And even its person first own car.

Hello Sir, Greetings !!!.... This info is also a one of the most important factor for car buying options. Generally this this thinking demotivates the buyer to buy a car. Just because of this thinking I am still thinking and dreaming for my car. Having more cars in a family unnecessarily is a bad decision and waste of money. But for first car, there is a other side of the coin also. Like comfort, convenience, emotions, privacy, hygiene, personal security, etc. If we calculate the annual cost of these factors approximately then the cost of ownership changes. I hope it's a interesting discussion and may give you idea to upgrade this video. Keep doing your honest work!!!!!!!! T n R Anjani Kumar Rai

I had done this calculation previously. Ok my calculations tell me that if you own a high resale value car (like Maruti), it will cost you around 2% to 2.5% every month of the on road price of that car. For the low resale value cars this cost is around 3% to 4% of the on road price of the car (depending on the make, model & fuel economy). These values also include the money we gain from sale of the car. So at a glance if a car costs you 1 million, you are bound to incur anywhere from INR 25000 to INR 40000 per month. So now one can calculate and select to purchase the model according to his/her budget!
@sundarbala18034 жыл бұрын
Good information.Olden days people own a car for 15 to 20 years.But now new generation people think they should own it only for 4to5years which is really BAD.So depending the financial crisis save money for future.I have a car bought 10 yrs back.I will use it till it get big repairs.the one previous to this car is still I am having.First model Maruti.
