Nice Video. I bought the same about 5 years ago for my Subaru Outback xt 2005 and so far it hasn't let me down, especially the few times I got my tire punctured by nails or screews; it showed the pressure going gown. I also carry repair kits for immediate repair and then I take it to the pros.

Recommended tire pressures are always on the sticker in the drivers door jamb
@free-tx8jg6 жыл бұрын
Also on the inside of the fuel door.

First thing first, check that all your tyres have no leaks and make sure they are all at the right PSI rating as per on the side of the inside door jam, before you put the external sensors on,cheers :) Most cars without hi performance wheels such as above 18 inch wheels have approx 32 to 33 PSI and most Hi performance wheels 19" and above will have around 36 PSI for each tyer. cheers :)

You sir should be paid or at least get free stuff for reviewing stuff. To date I have bought everything you have, Rad Power Bikes (Rad Wagon)and all accessories (lights, phone holder, locks, etc.) and next the Steelmate TPMS. Thank you. I can't explain it but you've got it.

Me too,but you some how explain the gadgets well. The other night my Dad and brother stopped at my haus independently while I was watching you commute and they were locked in. True praise.

Great video. Your explanation of this item is great. I installed mine with no problems. Just like it’s hidden very well. You have to get close to it to even notice it’s there. Key point don’t go around telling everybody that you have it. My can has built in TPMS but I didnt know which tire was the corrupt but now I know.

I just installed mine yesterday, I pray they dont steal my sensors dude.. screwed them tight and there shouldnt be any problem.
@smidgelife6 жыл бұрын
I've had mine on for quite a while, no issues. Just make sure when you get service that you remove them; most don't know what they are.
@vinha9167 жыл бұрын
you dont have to setup nothing to read PSI, turn on display and go around install sensors, then your done. After that you set alert or PSI whatsoever.
@free-tx8jg6 жыл бұрын
That is what I was going to comment.
@matthardwick5878 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to recharge the sensors or get new batteries? Or are you just screwed and have to get a new set when the batteries run out?
@smidgelife8 жыл бұрын
Matt Hardwick you can get new batteries. so far I've not had to change anything. I'll film the manual to show you.
@Chris-zb4lz7 жыл бұрын
Ive searched but havent found a solution yet. I have this system installed and it worked fine for about 4 days. After that, the module no longer provides real time data. i.e. When i drove 30kms, the PSI in each sensor would go up/down +/- few PSI which is normal as the tyres temp changes but now the PSI remains the same for days and never moves. If i unscrew any sensor and screw back in, the PSI changes. So the module in the car and sensors to talk to eachtothe to give me a readout but not real time data as i drive.
@smidgelife7 жыл бұрын
Chris that is odd. Only thing I can think of is totally reset everything. Replace batteries?
@Chris-zb4lz7 жыл бұрын
kobEVision I can't see how to reset the module in the car as it only has 1 button. I press that 5 times to enter recode mode which I've done to set all new sensor valve readouts again. This is accurate until I start driving and the psi never changes. The sensors aren't indicating low battery but yeah I'll try as they are cheap to replace. I just don't think all 4 batteries would be low, maybe 1 or 2 but all 4? I don't want to buy a new setup but out of ideas to get this one to work.
@free-tx8jg6 жыл бұрын
Chris, did you find the solution? I think it only reads the psi when you are traveling at 12.4 mph or above and what you are seeing is the reading from the last time you were driving. The manual says the batteries last 2 years nd I agree all 4 wouldn't go out at the same time.
@7071t66 жыл бұрын
Also each outer sensor has a little battery inside it,which you can change when required ?
@smidgelife6 жыл бұрын
They do... let me check on that and report back.

What about riding in the rain? It does not appear to be water proof.
@smidgelife8 жыл бұрын
John Baynes it's water resistant at least. it doesn't rain too much in California but we've had it in the rain at least 5 times and it's still very solid. no issues. car is parked outside too.

Curious question do you have to use the locking nut for it do work correctly? Or is it just for security? Can it be ran with just the sensor on with no nut?
@smidgelife8 жыл бұрын
It will still work without the locking nut. I think it's more to keep it "secure" but I really don't think anyone is going to bother stealing them as most people will not even notice or even know what they are for. Yes, the sensor will also pick them up without the locking nut too. I've had this on my daughters car for many months now and it really works well; no strange disconnects or anything like that. It appears to be well made and I have peace of mind that it's working as needed. I'll try to post a video today to give a long term use review. Cheers.

@kobEVision Does it work on big trucks? I mean in terms of pressure and alarm. Is it easy to change batteries on the sensors?
@killerdonkey57507 жыл бұрын
They should work on pickups, but on things like duallys and semi truck would have the sensors of of range.
@agencialeotours62516 жыл бұрын
where can i get the dustproof cover for the sensor?
@free-tx8jg6 жыл бұрын
Did you lose one? It comes with 4 of them in the kit. Try contacting the maker they sell replacement sensors, not sure about the dust covers.

Hell Matt, Good point. However, I've been running with these on the Mazda 3 for coming up on 1 year now and no issues. I just purchased new tires too, and they still work. In fact, the tire place forgot to add 1 back and as I was driving away it started to beep! I stopped and came back to the tire store and sure enough they forgot to put that last one on. They're very well made and work flawlessly. They don't appear to be sensitive in any way.

Most annoying issues with these products: battery life of the sensors and when it comes time to rotate the tires. Good review but you're not supposed to read the instructions. Lol
