Love your series, I'm 71 and I grew with these cars . Built my first car at 15 a 4" chop 26 tall t that I put on a set 32 rails with a 57 283.

Hey George, and everyone else too, I’ve got a 57 283 in a 1931 Sedan. It’s been in there since 1962, which is before I was born ( I’m a 1971 model!) It’s chopped and channeled with a dropped front axle. All that was done before 1962. It ran a flathead before they put the 283 in it. It’s an East coast car named “The Prodigal” It’s running 6 Holley 94 carbs and a 3 speed manual. It has a few little bumps and bruises but I wouldn’t paint it for the world.

My first hot rod was a 1929 A on 32 rails , halibrand quick change rear , 39 Ford tranny with Lincoln zephyr gears, 48 mercury flathead with 3 stromberg 97 carbs edelbrock finned aluminum heads, it a coupe chopped. 4” and channeled 6”” 16” Ford wheels with moon discs 😄🎩

If the original car used only the 2 center carbs all the time and now you are using only the 2 center carbs as primaries with the 4 end carbs as secondaries how will this give you better fuel mileage?

Well because the 2 primary’s do most of the work till I step on it opening up the rest.. note: better gas than running all 6 straight not just center 2 🙃

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime...:_(((
