Strangely no one else in my family were interested in cars. Like today, they only had a car to get to work and to shop. Somehow I got addicted and it rubbed off on a few of my kids. My first project was a rough 1931 Model A coupe. My last car will be my recent 1931 Model A phaeton.

You have no idea how lucky you are...your grandpa is an encyclopedia of knowledge about how a REAL hot rod should be built. Any mechanical question you ask him will be answered, and maybe shown (if your lucky) Better than a library full of old Rod & Custom mags. Thanks for posting this, really enjoyed it!

Thanks for sharing such a great video and your Grand Dad's Hot Rod hobby! I myself just inherited my Dad's (almost fully restored) '30 Ford Town Sedan last year.... It's been in our family for over 40 years! I can't wait to get it on the road again. (Hopefully in it's full 1930's glory!) In the mean time, I also still have a really sweet place in my heart for both '30's type "AA" Ford pick ups, and ''30 - '50''s rods. Whether it's a hot rod, a rat rod, or a full blown restoration; There's a big sense of old style artistry, style, and history from these cars that just can not be denied! I loved seeing your Grand Pops "toys"... Please share more when you can!

I so enjoyed watching this video and listening to your Grandpa talk about his passion for Hotrods. I’ve built several myself over the past forty years, some for others and quite a few for myself. I knew when I was a youngster, growing up, watching TV shows like 77 Sunset Street & looking through magazines from America that was what I wanted to do. I’m close to seventy years old and I’m on my second ‘32 Ford Roadster (the first was GRP bodied and built in the style of the Doane Spencer car). Now I have a steel ‘32 Hiboy and it’s going to be the last one. Tell your Grandpa (& those of his era) I said Thank You for lighting the flame for those of us who followed on & kept the torch lit. His Hotrods are really cool 😎 👍👏👏. Regards from the U.K.

Wow, that was priceless, one of the best videos you've put out yet! Your grandpa is the real deal. He is also very listenable, you need to interview him a lot, get him to tell stories (we know he's got many), share his experiences, know when to 'catch him' when he's in his element and waxing nostalgic. Put it on record, you're the right man for the job! THANK YOU for sharing!
