Car Wars Battle Report March, 2012

Battle Report from our first Car Wars game in 20 years. We're still catching up on the rules, but had them down pretty well by the time the game ended. $15k, with no vehicle limits, on a 1:60 scale Midville map, using Matchbox/Hotwheels cars.
The game was recorded on March 27, 2012 at Jeff's house in Torrence, California. We all had a blast, and will be playing this much more in the future!

THANK YOU for doing this!!! I just got the deluxe set -again via ebay -for all I know my old set is STILL at my parents house sitting unplayed for 20 years, but I HAD to have it. Because of your vid, I convinced my 12 year old to give it a try after watching this -he is SOLD, that there is more to life than magic cards, (which he beats me at almost every time). You guys are nuts fir upscaling this. AWESOME!

Kudos for using appropriate tuneage, Ministry! Awesome. This reminds me of great weekends in the '80s autoduelling all weekend with the droogs, running marathon cross country missions, etc. Fond memories!

I used to play Car Wars regularly with a group from '82 to '87. I am still surprised that either a video game or movie has not come out yet.

Last time I played was the summer of 93' at Origins. Got third place at the worlds. You guys actually look a little familiar but I worked at an airport and been to tons of cons so I've seen a million faces. All my stuff (almost everything ever printed) is sitting in a box in my basement. I miss CW it was my gateway drug.

TY for posting this ! scaling it up to Hot Wheels/Matchbox scale was great ( you could use sculpey & toothpicks/cardstock to sculpt details onto the vehicles like turrets, guns etc ) wanted to ask if 15mm figures would be right scale ? lastly the only prob see is cycles of propper scale ( but sculpey , toothpicks & cardstock could solve that as well ). You guys breathed alot of new life into the game IMO. Keep up the good work & hope all of you are stll getting together to game CW still. Lastly I think Uncle Al would approve.

What version of the rules were you playing? I just picked up 5th Edition I'm looking in to setting up a game but I'm still a little fuzzy on some of the rules. Nice work by the way, midville looks awesome!
