After having the book for about 2 years I finally got around to playing this past weekend. Great game! My kids love it as well which makes it better.

Gaslands? I love it! I just started playing. I love how you have to balance your gear with your template with your hazard tokens.

Maybe i missed if you mentioned this but there should be no weapons fired prior to passing Gate 1. Otherwise, really enjoyed this demo.

Thank-you for explaining this game so well. I tried another video first and I was nearly completely lost. I want to learn to play this to eventually be able to teach it to my car-mad grandsons. They are both a bit young for it now, at 5 1/2 and nearly 3 1/2 but in a few years I think they'll be able to play, even it means simplifying some of the rules. Also, it's going to be a blast building terrains and customizing cars.

There are also actual tanks in the game. The only thing I'd say about it is that the larger vehicles are less hull points to cost effective than the light ones, but you could easily homebrew that.

Great job!! Explanations easy to follow!! Having the full demo with movement and explaining all the different aspects of play is fantastic. My piqued interest has now been turned into full blown want to play!! Happy shifting and hope all your rolls are in your favor!! Thank you!!

31:35 personally I'd only use the "if you touch it you use it rule" if a particular player picks up a piece, you remind them of the consequences in play if they use it and then they change it, and only if they do that too many times, otherwise between friends it should be fine, I see that as a reserve rule for people who don't play much in good faith.
@StormofSteelWargaming Жыл бұрын
To be honest, we've never used the rule in our games as it seems daft that the driver isn't attempting to judge their manoeuvre. I know the rule is supposed to model that, but the dice rolling also models it. But yeah, number one rule is don't play with bad faith gamers.

Sometimes you just need to bolt some steel plates on a Mini and forget about researching facing colors or what is the correct feldgrau. Glad youtube recommended this old one I missed when it was new.

If you want cool templates i used the photocopy ones asna template to make mine ou of styrene sheets i used the thickest sheet that hobby lobby had then added racing ribbons to each side of it and painted it a asphalt concrete color and used plaster as the surface to make cracks and bumps in the templates and gbey look really cool. Its over kill bht everyone at the gaming place loves them.

Nice demo! Really got me more interested. My son is not quite 4 and still likes smashing things but he does always want to roll my dice so I may try this with him in a simplified race sometime.

Thank you! It's a great fun game and could easily be simplified for kids to play.

At 27:50 when you put the slide die to one side and have the car take an extra hazard, I thought you had to use a shift die result to cancel it out otherwise you had to take it? Have I got it crossed somewhere?

This is a great overview of the game - thankyou so much! Just a note on the "I keep saying he, could be a woman driving" - Using "they" is a great way to be inclusive to all genders, it can take a bit of getting use to but a great tool to use for life in general when you don't know or want to assign genders 😊

In the first round why did the blue car not move? Did the damage from shooting prevent it from making a move or did the “avoid” attempt count as it’s move? This was very unclear.

Qhick. Question i know gaslands js scaled down for 1/64 scale diecast cars if i scale it up like the templates cluld you play with 1/24 scale model cars cause i have some really amazing 1/24 scale models i havebuilt that are mad max and post apocolyptic style death race cars and my friends also build 1/24 scale models and also have some amazing apocolyptic deatg race builds as well. Not only is it bugger but you can make the cars more detailed and realistic looking same with the gamin table layout yoy cab make buildings and trees and ect mofe realisjc casue its bigger
@StormofSteelWargaming Жыл бұрын
I don't see why not.

From I have the rulebook in my lap right now "Because everything is managed using the movement template, Gaslands scales perfectly to different sizes of model cars. To play gaslands with 28mm vehicles, simply photocopy the templates at 130% original size"
@Grandtank1999 Жыл бұрын
Sure is a lot of shooting in this. I feel like it should be once per turn not once per gear. When I've played the majority of cars on the table die before the first turn is over.
@StormofSteelWargaming Жыл бұрын
Then just restrict shooting to once a turn. Easy.
@scottmills41642 жыл бұрын
why do you keep taking two turns with the prison car? he smashes into the blue car, then goes again?
@StormofSteelWargaming2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you're referring to, I haven't watched this video since I edited it almost two years ago. It'll just be a simple mistake.
@scottmills41642 жыл бұрын
@@StormofSteelWargaming I see. I am just learning, but twice in a row he prison car crashed into the blue car, then you activated it again, wasn't sure if that was a thing. I'm sure just too much going on for one person.
