checked out quite a number of sites, trying to decide what colour to choose. this one is most informative, ruling out some colours and etc.. wish there are more colours compared

Thanks great info. FYI Avery has its own Dark Satin Gray (not Basalt), was hoping to see that one side by side with 3M's, but seeing how the gloss one looked, i'm assuming Avery's is a brighter shade.

Glad you found it helpful! I must have missed the normal dark satin from Avery or I probably would have gotten it to compare lol (or it may have been out of stock when I placed my sample orders, I know a lot of colors have been going in and out of stock regularly).

3M satin gray has purple to it under the sun but looks grey under the shade. Avery Gloss Dark Grey is the better choice, looks great under the sun and shade.

Yea the Avery Gloss Dark Grey is what i've been leaning towards now. Should look great paired with some of the carbon fiber exterior goodies I'm gonna add as well.

3m and avery is good for satin/matt. If you want to wrap in gloss, some PET vinyl like teckwrap, inozetek will provide more glossy and less orange peel, even though it is not easy to install and not as durable as 3m/avery.

Funny you say that because that is what I went with! Car is at the shop now getting the widebody fitted and then fully wrapped and some carbon fiber pieces added (which should contrast nicely against the avery dark gloss gray). I'll have update videos once I get it back.

Thank you so much for this. #1 dark basalt I may do a totally different color but it has sort of a dark bronze undertone and l love that. But that ocean shimmer might be one of my favorite blue wrap colors. Current paint is Tesla midnight gray which has purple and blue undertones. I want something more aggressive so the basalt may be the winner. Thx

I just got a sample of Avery Gloss Dark Gray and it seems way darker than you sample of Gloss Dark Gray. Mine seems closer to your 3m Satin Bassalt sample. So hard to choose!!!

Yea it does lighten up quite a bit in the sun. I actually did end up going with the Avery Gloss Dark Gray and i'm super happy with it! In direct sunlight it is a bit lighter, but in the shade it darkens up nicely. I like it a lot. If you check out some of my newer videos you'll see my 124 Spider with the new wrap and wide body on it. I'm getting my Shuttle bus RV conversion wrapped so was iffy on the dark, but only other option is the Rock Grey which I think would be too light for that big of a vehicle. I think I will go for the Gloss Dark Gray. Truly appreciate your input.

I like the Nardo Grey color you have. Definitely, ocean blue for K swap. Hell no to the green

I’m leaning towards the nardo type gray for this one. K swap idk yet. I like the blue, I kinda like the green too 😂 I wanna sample some other stuff like orange as well. That one will be down the road.

Where did you get those wraps ? How much is it and where I can get those ? Can I buy those and bring to the wrapping place let them put on ?

I got them from metrorestyling.com they offer smaller sizes to sample. They are the normal wrap material just cut in smaller sample sizes.
