Great Job! I work for CARA and helping set up this race and seeing this video really makes all the hard work worth it. All the finishers made the long weeks worth it.

Mike. Great nice comfortable run you looked very relaxed, and seemed enjoyed yourself. How were the rc elites over a long distance? It also appeared you chose to run on the dirt area adjacent to the road was that to minimize pavement pounding?
@kofuzi3 жыл бұрын
RC Elite was great for the long run. I chose to run on the dirt wherever possible to minimize wear and tear on my body, as that’s something I’ve overall been trying to do more of. The shoes were great

what HR would you think i should maintain for my half marathon race, taking into account my max HR is 190?

I just have struggled to find the right effort since it will be my first half marathon
@donshields23793 жыл бұрын
That is a loaded question. A lot goes into it. Need to know a lot more information. How old are you? Younger the age a higher heart rate typically. What is your average heart rate and what pace are you running? More effort higher heart rate. What is the furthest you have ran? Typical miles per week? Has a doctor ever told you to be careful of high heart rate? If you have ran 13 miles what was your heart rate and did it feel comfortable? I think if you have answers to these questions you will come up with a bpm that works for you. You probably have the best answer to this question.
@luisdelpozo96743 жыл бұрын
@@donshields2379 18 yes old, I’ve ran a couple half marathon long runs in prep for my race, I did a 16 mile run the past week with a 9:30 pace and a HR of around 155-162 and it felt more comfortable than I thought it would feel being my longest run ever, max HR is 190-194
